Title: Paypal advice Post by: grubby on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, 21:18:03 Just wondered if any of you can help with some advice on paypal.
If I send a request for money to someone I don't know to pay me for something, is there any way of being scammed? Thanks. Provided the person you are sending the money request to is actually that person then you are pretty safe.
Additionally, check that they have a verified status - this means they have passed some of paypals own security checks. The good thing about paypal is that you get the money up front before you send it - just be sure that you only send it to the address registered on their paypal account Title: Re: Paypal advice Post by: Berniman on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 09:01:12 Just be careful because if the funds come off their credit card they can raise a dispute and Paypal will withdraw the money to allow the credit card company to investigate. Even if you have already taken the money out, it will be taken off of your registered credit card.
The Credit Card company usually always finds in favour of their customer. What if you are both using a Barclaycard?
