They scratch less if you leave the nuts on, but they lick a lot more mind you.

Give the lad a chance to get his leg over first before you chop.

Not all intact males are aggressive or humpy. My boys got his bits and hes fine.

That said if i were to get a puppy now I probably would get them chopped off because its the responsible thing to do with so many dogs without homes.

the money would come from breeding however if i have his nuts done it will save the house from ruin and he will not be nicked

Hmmm, using your dog to make make money through breeding is pretty grim.

Don't get it done. Let him be male with bollocks intact.

Don't cut its unmentionables off, that's cruel.

Chop its legs off instead, it'll never catch anything.

You're welcome.

out Labrador is turning two next month and he hasn't had his bollox chopped but we are seriously contemplating it. he's turning into a randy little devil and gets very over excited sometimes.

and with 3 kids in the house it's best to calm him down a bit by having them done.

I had to re-read your final sentence.  Seemed a little harsh on the kids on the first reading.

I know it's different but we have an 8yr old Labrador bitch and initially we didn't plan to have her spayed but it was a fucking nightmare.  She'd come into heat and every randy old dog would be trying to have a go.  In the end we had to have her done when she was 2 or 3 as she kept having phantom pregnancies and would become incredibly possessive.

I'd say leave it awhile and see how he gets on.
