Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, July 10, 2010, 14:04:28
My mates band, Beatbullyz. This is their second music video and soon to be released second single. They're trying to get their views up. Please watch it! :)

No offence taken mate. It's not my band or video! :)

It's not really even geared at us, it's more the N-Dubz crowd, who they toured with earlier this year. I just feel like i should help with their views! :D

Yeah, they are. Didn't know it was today though as that arts day thing looks like it could be very good.

Lead singer is my best mate's younger brother and mates with the rapper also. Andy, the singer, is super talented. He produces and writes it all. He can play the Sax, Guitar, Violin and Piano to a decent standard.

The music might not be to everyone's tastes, but their management and the Radio 1 big wigs love them. Andy deserves any success he can get to be honest he's been trying hard as fuck for years and he's a properly likeable bloke.

Barry Scott, who are you? I know the Bullys, we might have met. I used to be in a (pretty shit) band with Stuart.

Just sent you a pm.

Stuart, as in their drummer, Disco Stu? Small world. I don't know him that well to be honest, would say hello in passing, but not spoke much.

Ive worked a few shows with these guys including liquid at swindon recently. Lovely chaps and wish them all the best. Few town fans amongst them as well. Im 39 so its really not music aimed at me but they definitely write decent pop tunes. We've got skills the last single was very popular with my kids. Best of luck to them and hope they make it and we work together again soon.

remember seeing them back around 2006 at walkabout in some battle of the bands thing.

Picked up some cd from boss tunes not long after that with wham/paranoid/roots on which i probably prefer to their new stuff. Seem to have done alright for themselves since then mind.

Hehe, a few of my mates know the band quite well and go about them, this is the first time i've actually heard any of their stuff.
I won't be buying the album, it's not my sort of thing :)

But good luck to 'em though!

To be honest, some of their tunes, like the at the start of this thread, are very much pop and not geared at us. Here's 2 taken from their BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale Studios.

Some of their stuff not yet on YouTube is really good, but I think it's a case of waiting until they become better known before unleashing the best on a hopefully purchasing public!

This is one of their better tracks.

This track was on Soccer AMs showboat towards the end of the season and was remixed for a quiet release prior to the tune at the start of the thread.
