Title: New Job
Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, June 11, 2005, 09:43:34
Thinking about applying for a new job which my sister found for me, sounds absolutely perfect!! I have had an email back about my enquiry..................

Thanks for the email, apologies for not getting back to you before now.

The job involves visiting pro and semi pro football clubs nationwide in a Nike branded vehicle. This would be a pre-arranged visit during a training session and the main aim is to get the players to train for that particular session in the boots and gain feedback from them.

The job is from end of July - November full time, but has the potential to be extended to a permanent position. The successful candidate receive full Nike product training and a competitive salary.

The deadline for this position has expired but I am willing to consider your application if you are interested? Please email your CV and cover letter to

Certainly would beat my current office job at the moment!! Concerned about how much a competitive salary in this kind of work would be!!

It sounds pretty poor to be honest.

No money, only for a few months and personally I think getting feedback about football boots is a bit dull

Point taken, guess the fact you get to train with professional footballers sounded more romantic than I thought!

Although you like cricket, so I guess you know all there is about dullness!

Play out mtaches in ABERDEEN! Great idea though. Nice ground, the Grange and they seemed to be getting decent crowds.

What do you mean Aberdeen? They play in Edinburgh as far as I know.

Seems they are playing Australia in a one dayer on August 18th, may see if I can get some tickets.

Out matches fella. All county sides play a few out matches during the season. Somerset play out matches at Bath. Gloucs at Cheltenham. Surrey at Guildford, Middlesex at Southgate and so on.

Anyway last season the Scottish Saltires played out matches (2 I think) at Aberdeen and I was expressing my suprise that cricket could be played in the granite city.

If you were a proper jock I could let you off. But........ :twak:

I see, thanks for clearing that up!! Not much a cricket fan in truth, hence my ignorance of that fact!!
