Anyone know when the last time we won four away games on the trot was?  Other han possibly the 06/07 season, it must have been some time ago?

T'was looked up on Beeb Swindon yesterday. The Jurrasic rings a bell. Or 95/96, whichever came first.

IIRC they said on t'Beeb it was 22 years ago. Or was it 1922? I was being distracted by Hugh Foria at the time.

They mentioned it during the commentary on Satuday. It was 95/96 right at the start of the season:

Hull       1-0  (Finney diving header)
Carlisle   1-0  (Murray pile driver)
Brentford 2-0 (Finney/O'Sullivan)
Rovers    4-1 (Horlock with a 'perfect' hat trick and OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR)

In the season we won the 4th division championship (mid 80's) if I remember rightly because the CG was frozen we played six consecutive league games away from home, and won them all

What was the result that stopped the run?

The funny thing is, Town went unbeaten from 12th January right through to the end of the season.

After those 6, there was a home win against Burnley, then Town came "crashing back down to earth" with a 0-0 against Port Vale

I remember that Northampton match well, Kenny Allen brought off a fantastic save when it was 0-0 i think before Charlie Henry got the winner for us.

It was bloody cold that day as I remember, wind whistling across the cricket ground - didn't see any trouble though.

I remember it well. There was a load trouble after the game particularly. And what a ground that was..the 'other' County Ground. Effectively only the two ends were in use as the stand down the side was condemned and there wasn't anything down the other side as it was the cricket pitch ??? And they had to hire a stand from 'Rent-A-Stand' as we had so many there.

There was plenty - a couple of Town fans stabbed before the game after a few excitable Town fans fell for the alley way trick. After it was absolute bedlam - right old school. The gardens bordering the ground were cleaned out by Town fans for missiles. Something went wizzing past me towards the Northampton fans and it was a garden gnome swiftly followed by a dozen milk bottles. The police totally lost control as Town fans got behind the Northampton fans.  

Yea, plenty of trouble there I remember that was one of the few aways I was taken to that season.  Charlie's goal was a bit of screamer, him playing up front for us when he was supposed to be a defender and all that.

Didn't go to Rochdale (the sixth win), but for some bizarre reason I remember the Adver headline 'now we're giving them a head start' cos we let them go 1-0 up and still won 2-1. 

We didn't see any of the trouble but I remember walking past a sizeable mob before the game, and plenty of them were tooled up.

I also remember their fans packed behind one goal, and us behind the other, and that was it! Cricket pitch to our left, condemned stand to our right. The only ground with less stands than O*ford!

They used to play on Friday nights at one point..always a good atmosphere there i remember...unlike the soul less patch they have today.
