Hilarious though Leeds' ongoing implosion is, I think the draw would favour us slightly more, as this scoreline must leave Millwall favourites to displace them

Leeds look like a team with the jitters.  Millwall didn't look great but they look so well organised, they really could be the ones to get 3rd with their next 2 games being very winnable.  I reckon we could stiffle Leeds and pinch 3 points.

Spot on TT, If I was Danny I'd have been totally smug about Kisnorbo being injured, Beckford being injured, Ankergren having a mare, Snodgrass potentially being injured and would have pointed out Charlie was a better non-league acquision than Morison etc - but that's why he's where he is and why I'm where I am!

Exactly! He stays calm and deliberately (I think) humble. He wants us to stay under the radar and I think he is doing a very good job at it.

I really believe we can still go up but, when i actually think about it logically, it feels like wishful thinking.
If we use the games we've played against our rivals as the yardstick it doesn't look good.

Norwich - We beat them - fact. We were very lucky. In truth they played us off ER and we were grateful for a point until their keeper blundered. Extremely fearful about what awaits at Carrow Road. Irrelevant anyway, they're the best team in the division by a mile.

Millwall - Doubled by the pikey twats and can have no complaint about either result. They could have murdered us tonight. In the ghetto we were outfought and outthought - deserved nowt but it's strange to think that Kandol's smack against the woodwork might end up being the difference.

Swindon - They did murder us. They looked very good that night, though it's hard to say how much of that was down to a truly shocking display by us. Guess we'll find out soon - never thought i'd see the day when i was fearful of a visit to ER by the mighty Swindon Town.

Charlton - Not a good team imo. However they had the better of the goalless draw at our place (at a time when we were flying) and it's hard to imagine our lot being comfortable with what is bound to be a high pressure match at The Valley.

And if it is to be the play-offs then they're going to feature at least two of the above. Another year in the third division is just to horrible to contemplate...

The truth is, if Grayson stays we're gonna need some new faces because the players we have at the moment are either knackered or their confidence is totally shot. If they were going to turn it around, it would've happened two months ago, it hasn't so we need to look elsewhere.

I've been going through the Premier League and Championship squad lists, seeing who might be available to us, which is what I hope Grayson will be doing this week. For me, we need quality and someone who can offer a spark for us. Also, experience is key in this situation so that kinda rules out a lot of the younger players.

Here's the shortlist I came up with, and the ones in bold I'd love to see us go for, although I fully admit I don't expect us to sign more than one or two.

Let's concentrate on Hartlepool though, if we lose to them and and all our promotion rivals win then there will be even more pressure on us for the Leeds game, and we're be back to square 1 we need to concentrate on beating Hartlepool and then look to how big the Leeds game will be....and hopefully watch Leeds collapse under the pressure being heaped on them by both their fan's and the media

I watched bits of the game last night and isn't 'Marching On Together' part of their problem as it keeps harking back to their glory days of the late 60's and early 70's. Maybe they need to come up with a new anthem and move on into a new era

Think I made this point last night (or if I didn't I meant to) on the basis of both fixtures and form. But chatting to my brother today, I managed to convince myself that actually we have better opportunities to take points off those around us and so are more in control of our own destiny and that Millwall's fantastic run just means they're due a dodgy spell whereas we've had ours. I think I might have been getting a little carried away tbh :).

So with my sensible hat on, Hartlepool first, then see how we go from there.

Millwall have 5 at home, where they are formidable....and only 4 away. The reverse for us, and includes visits to Leeds, ColU and Millwall....it could be done, but atm they have to be favourites.
