Title: Loan Market Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:13:19 Hi
Longtime reader, first time poster. Can anyone clarify the rules around loan players and how many can be in a matchday squad. I'm concerned that our current injuries may mean that the fulfill a squad we might have to call on some of our youth players to make up the numbers. Loanees Sheehan Ritchie Darby Ward Ferry Injured Lucas Cuthbert Pericard Morrison Amankwaah Kennedy O'Brien Now although I don't know the severity of these injuries, it could leave us in a diffucult position to make up a bench or team without breaching rules on usage of loan players. What do other TEF users think? Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: suttonred on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:18:15 Think you can have a maximum of 5 in the matchday squad.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: DiV on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:19:09 I believe its 5 per match day sqaud.
I can't see Wilson being in a rush to drop Sheehan, Ferry or Ward. Darby will probably play till Big Kev is fit. That leaves Ritchie. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: nevillew on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:28:07 Paynter's injured as well.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:36:50 Paynter's injured as well. How could I forget out top scorer! The point I guess I'm trying to make is if these injuries are longer term (touch wood they're not) and Wilson's hand is forced into the loan market how will we accomodate these players considering we can only have 5 in the matchday squad. Also does the loan window close soon? Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: mexico red on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:47:33 think it closes today.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:49:17 think it closes today. Expect a flurry of signings today then? Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Summerof69 on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:51:07 think it closes today. Next Thursday. It always closes on the last Thursday of March. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: suttonred on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:56:07 Would guess they are ringing round. Apparently first contact with Darby was last wednesday, he signed on the Thursday, so sometimes they dont take very long, particularly when there is a godd chance of being on tv, being at wembley, or getting a promotion medal.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Phil_S on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 11:49:15 Ferry will have a ban too. How long is it for two yellows rather than a straight red. ?
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Summerof69 on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 11:56:35 Ferry will have a ban too. How long is it for two yellows rather than a straight red. ? 1 match instead of 3. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Sippo on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 11:56:47 Ferry will miss saturdays game and that is it.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: sonicyouth on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 14:00:05 definitely a maximum of five loan players in a matchday squad (inc subs)
taken from http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/78/3/0,,10794~888,00.pdf: Quote 47.3.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (either Short Term or Long Term) can be named in the sixteen Players listed on a team sheet for any individual Match. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 49. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Rich Pullen on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 14:42:30 For whatever reason, Ritchie's Town spell hasn't got going yet so my guess is that he'd have to stand aside.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Power to people on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 14:46:33 I think Ritchie is the only player that can stand down, assume a loan would be a striker for a month while Billy is recovering
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Saxondale on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 14:52:49 Official sight has Wilson saying a loan is imminent. Will happen tomorrow. No names though.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: carbonwhite on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 23:14:15 what about free transfers i know if a player is without a club he can sign.
Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: Peter Venkman on Friday, March 19, 2010, 10:47:12 I understand that we can only sign a free transfer if the player was already a free agent at the end of the last transfer window.
e.g. if the player was a free agent on or before the 1st February then we could sign him as long as its before the transfer deadline day on the last Thursday in March. If he was made a free transfer after 1st February then he is unable to sign for any club until the start of the next transfer window. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: carbonwhite on Friday, March 19, 2010, 20:01:37 I understand that we can only sign a free transfer if the player was already a free agent at the end of the last transfer window. sounds abit harsh but i dont think there are any notable free agents out there. what about noble who was released by shitty, has he found a club yet? good attacking CM e.g. if the player was a free agent on or before the 1st February then we could sign him as long as its before the transfer deadline day on the last Thursday in March. If he was made a free transfer after 1st February then he is unable to sign for any club until the start of the next transfer window. Title: Re: Loan Market Post by: One F In Fitton on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 01:33:02 If we had a doofus like Andy King or Malpas in charge I'd be tempted to contact the club to say "Careful of the 5 loan-player limit", what with a points-deduction being the probable punishment, but with our current incumbent? No need to be concerned.
