London's such a difficult place to go out in, mainly due to the size...  I used to go to university there so am familiar with the good haunts during the week, but anyone got any tips for four lads out on the lash this Saturday?  We're going to be well boozed and no birds in tow so anywhere classy is off limits - would preferably like somewhere that is lenient on dress (allows trainers) and isn't going to cost silly money.  I've discounted the Sports Cafe on account of it being very average....  Any suggestions?  Preferably fairly central as we often fancy a spot of sight seeing at about 3am...!

Clapham is a laugh.

Axs is almost right, around Clapham Jct/Northcote road is a good night out. There are lots of good pubs just off from the major areas. I.e Liecs square and regent street et al. Pick an area for easy access/exit and check beerinthevening.com would be your best bet really, as all bits have their good and bad, but normally enough good to sort anyone out for a ripper.

We would often hit the LSE student union club on really messy Saturday nights.. It's cheap, the bouncers don't ever give you any shit and the music's decent. It's just off of Aldwych so it's nice and central. Its usually chock full of women and they don't ask for student ID..

The LSE SU is gross. I've never been on a Saturday night though, tend to restrict it to the super-cheap Friday nights. The Saturday nights do look good on paper so maybe check it out. Plenty of pubs nearby on The Strand and in Covent Garden too before you go out.

upper street in Islington is pretty good, loads round there. Otherwise I quite like doing the boozers round Carnaby Street. Nice mix of pubs and brs, and loads going on.

The problem I find/or worry about is getting back....

Last few times I've been out there we've had a bit of trouble getting in without birds in tow. We just say we're gay and then they have little choice but to let you in.

If you get there early enough then you won't have any problems mind. You won't have any trouble convincing anyone you're gay either.

One of my mates at work lives in Richmond, got the night bus from traflagar square pissed up a couple of weeks back, fell asleep and woke up back in trafalgar square 3 hours later!

The name Infernos sounds good, and am tempted by Clapham, although might be a bit far from Uxbridge where I'm staying...  might try it from Crawley though!  LSE student union isn't bad - I've been before - and was messy though got chucked out for throwing a headbutt!
