£23 for a DRS/Arkells matchday ticket if we get into the championship.

Is that expensive or is just me who thinks that?

I wouldn't consider that expensive for the CCC.

What do most clubs charge nowadays anyhow? Is that in comparison do you think?

I think the adver have that wrong,according to the OS match day prices have been cut to £18 regardless of what division we are in if you buy in advance with on the day being £20.

unless im reading that wrong..

Extra £2 for grade A games tho.

League One
Side Stands: £18/£20 (Advance/On day)
Town End: £16/£16 (Advance/On day)

Championship
Side Stands: £23/£25 (Advance/On day)
Town End: £18/£18 (Advance/On day)

plus 2 quid premium on top of whichever price above for designated Cat A games

So, for most casual support its 16 quid in TE and 20 quid in Arkells/DRS if we're in League One; 18 quid in the Town End, 25 quid in the Arkells/DRS if we go up.

£23 is reasonable tho for championship football if you buy in advance.Im a ST holder but the mrs comes along when she's got a spare day and we pay £22 so all in all thats pretty good.Im glad they are doing the advanced ticket prices cheaper again.

Just makes the season tickets even better value for money

There are clubs charging £22+ in League One so it can hardly be considered expensive for the Championship. As a comparison: QPR is £20-£35, West Brom is £23-28, Leicester is £25-£32, Scunthorpe is £15-£20, Plymouth is £24

I think one of the important things here is that the casual fan can still get in for under 20 quid, even in the Championship. I'd be slightly worried if we were using 23/25 quid as the "headline price", we should (and I'd assume will) be using the TE 18 quid as the headline figure (ie "Tickets from £18". Then if people want to go posh and sit with Mex, well, that's naturally going to attract a premium :)

Which is exactly why the prices are what they are and why these have been announced now. I wasn't even considdering getting a season ticket as it only costs me and bro £12 a game at the mo, but that'll be £18 if we go up, whilst a season ticket is £189

f the Board can invest £10m+ of their own money I'm sure a couple of quid extra on your ticket won't hurt you. Didn't tickets cost that much a few seasons ago anyway?

Exactly. I've just done the sums and the saving is believable.

23 games paying on the day in the town end is £414

If you get a season ticket in the town end before the 15th March it's £199

The saving is £215.

The prices are not unreasonabe when compared to other clubs, and the season tickets are very good value indeed, but it does worry me a bit how we are going to grow the crowds long term with the on the day prices being so much higher than a season ticket.

To increase season ticket sales you have to have a pool of on the day buyers who decide to take the plunge and get a season ticket instead of buying match by match.  Brand new fans are not likely to jump straight in and buy a season ticket, the match day prices need to be attractive enough not to put them off initially.

Well i don't know, where i'm not a brand new fan i have never had a season ticket before and i would come to games every now and again when i could get someone to come with me. Once i got told about the £199 season ticket, i was down there in a week buying one. Also, i know a few people that have heard about it and are thinking about it. These people haven't ever been to a game before. This is what the club needs.
