Title: Car Brakes Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 14:39:50 My MOT failed last week, as some of you know, the main failures were the breaks so im looking at getting full new set of brakes just to make my life easier. Ive done some searching and found the cheepest to be around 300 quid for the whole shebang.
Does anyone have any recomendations i should check out in swindon, i just need the brakes, i have a guy who will fit them for me. Ray's Autos fitted them for me, however, i forget how much the fitting cost me.

Plumped for a Vectra and have had more problems with that in 6 months than I did with the other two combined in over 2 years! Worn pads/shoes or discs/drums are one thing, but there are several other causes like siezed pistons, stuck calipers, contaminated brake fluid (spongy pedal), leaks, corroded brake pipes etc. Don''t go splashing out on something that won't fix the failure unless you are sure.
