Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, February 25, 2010, 16:06:42
How many do you have a day?

I've had 3 today and am about to make another pot.

Tea is horrible, a nice coffee is where it's at.

Philistines.

I love coffee too, but it makes me crave cigarettes.

tea is a much more chilled out drink.

You're a freak.

Only messing, but it does seem a bit strange.

I suppose if I'm being honest then my first reaction to someone who doesn't like tea or coffee would probably be that they're a bit childish. Don't know why.

Tea rocks but it isn't easy to get proper tea here, especially in restaurants where they tend to serve it with coffee-mate, the fuckwits.

Coffee can be great but it has to be proper coffee, I don't like this nescafe shite.

Quite few - 5 or 6 while at work, at home it depends if its a beer day or not.  The best cuppa of the day is either the one before setting off for work, or the one I make as soon as I get in.

My good lady drinks no hot drinks at all, and I do find it a bit weird, but only because I think tea is so wonderful.  I think the same of people who say "I don't eat sausages".  Freaks.

I drink way too many as it's free at work (twinings too!!) for this reason I have stopped taking sugar, it's not bad once you get used to it.

I went from a 3 sugars man to a no sugars man recently. It's much much better this way. Sugar ruins tea.

I gave up sugar in my tea about 8 years ago. Tea with sugar tastes very odd now. I could never go back.

Fuck off twat.

Tea with sugar is the most pointless and stupid choice in the world, made only by the thick, ugly and chavtastic.

I don't have sugar.

No doubt the Non-sugar crew doesn't go for honey badgers either, which speaks volumes.

Sugar in tea is a must. Sugar in (proper) coffee is a crime.

Drink loads of tea and coffee especially when I am at home and not out and about.
Probably 6 cups of tea a day, same amount of coffee.
Cant start the day without three cups of tea, that first cup is special.

Do not like these plastic coffee houses at airports and around the towns they just dont smell right, Importers Coffee House in Windsor, you can smell that shop 30 yards before you reach it, its like a magnet to go in.

About 5 on average for me. Sometimes even more.

About 2 or 3 in the evening on work days, coffe at work because it's machine shit and bad coffee is better than bad tea.  I do prefer a proper strength 5 coffee though, with double the helping of coffee vs the instructions.  I think I'm caffeine resistent now because I can have one to send me off at night.

I'm addicted to tea ever since I quit smoking. Have to have a cuppa at lunchtime and at night.

Yorkshire tea is the best.

Yorkshire tea is the best.

Grown on the slopes of the Pennines apparently.

Nobody outside the UK makes tea properly...I sympathise with Bangkok Red...in Africa they make it with hot milk and lots of sugar and its revolting.  In most places in europe and USA they make it with tepid water....yuk.  having said that, I drink a lot of tea - more than I used to...and coffee consumption is going down dramatically.  And how horrible is it to go back to instant coffee when you are used to the real thing??

No. Assam Tea is the best.

4 to 5 cups a day, no sugar, very strong with just a dash of milk.

Those that wave the tea bag 6 inches above the cup are weird......

I like coffee too. Proper coffee preferably. French Roast.

6-7 cups of decaf tea.  Ditched the coffee and now have a filthy tea habit.  Mind you I feel 100 times better having given up the coffee and the odd cup I have now is more enjoyable as a result.

Decaf tea is the equivalent of non-alcohol beer.  Fucking pointless.

I do agree Billy, I really do, but I had to find a subsitute for my filthy coffee habit and rather than start on normal tea I started on decaf.  More to do with the ritual than anything else.

I'll be on the electronic cigs at this rate!

Slippery slope that is - you'll be drinking green tea and lecturing on the benefits of pilates soon...
