What do people think of this show?

I watched it for the first time last night and thought it was quality.

Jack Bauer doesn't die.

It's class. Although, having no CTU in the last series, to a full on futuristic CTU with things like drones, in the new one, is well OTT. Plus - I can't understand why it has jumped ship to New York, but then again i don't understand alot of things :)

Not going to say much about the story 'cause i'm up with what the US watches. It's written differently to the last one, and has someone in that i'm sure used to be in The Bill - What a step up!

You should buy the box sets or something because the earlier series were perhaps better than the last few. Still top quality telly though.

24 is just pure ace, if you've been through all of the series, the new series will be predictable - but still ace.  Jack always gets in a pickle where you think he has no escape - but he always finds one you don't see coming.  The Axe incident was ace.

Oh and Kiefer is still sex on legs.

I started with series 1, gave up half way through.
I tried again with series 2, thought it was really good.
Started watching series 3, gave up less than half way through.
The series' are way too long. 24 x 1 hour episodes of basically 1 story gets pretty boring after a while.

A mate at work is absolutely hooked. He borrowed Seasons 1-6 from me and watched the lot in less than 2 weeks.......its the only show that absolutely guarantees to keep me awake!
