I'm still waiting for the answer to the question, who were the last 3 players to score 4,5, and 6 v STFC, in a proper competitive match?

While DV does the harder against version someone might want to do the easier, who were the last 3 STFC players to score 4, 5, and 6 in a proper competitive match ?

Ian Storey-Moore?

Moore may have dropped his Storey by the time he was capped...not sure.

The goalscorers are all correct...good work.  Tommy Tait must have liked playing against us, as he scored a hat trick previously when we lost 10-1 to Man City.

How about this one....

Who is the only player to score for and against England at full international level?

Own goals do not count, so for a bonus point - an explanation of how the player did it.

Title: Re: 5 players...

Dave Watson.

scored for england then years later played in a hong kong select xi against England.

Nope.

Has to be in a full official international between two national sides and recognised as such by the FA and FIFA.

Besides, Dave Watson didn't score in that game as England won 1-0.

I know Fifa changed the rules in the 60s. Before that you could play for more than one national side. I'm guessing that's how the person did it, but I haven't got a clue who it was.

Bingo. I doubt anyone will know the player off the top of their head so....

It was John Reynolds in the 1890's. He played five games for Ireland and scored against England, then played eight games for England and scored for them.

Looks like only 4 players played for England and another country, so I'm guessing the FA put a stop to it a long time before FIFA officially changed the rules.
