A living nightmare..wonder how many in the past has suffered the same fate.....at least he has abit of a life now,not much in our eyes but must be like being reborn to him.

Jesus. You literally can't imagine how that must have been for him. However bad you think it must have been, it probably doesn't cover it.

I am not religious but for me that would literally be hell without the eternity.

Read The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. An utterly bleak experience, but its probably the closest you'll get to feeling how the 'trapped' individual feels.

I thought this was going to be a thread about a Swindon fan who hadn't missed a game for 23 years. I reckon a coma would be a better proposition than that.

Horrific. 23 years of Coronation Street and couldn't even say ''turn it over nurse, I wanna watch the weather forecast'' !
