When are the TEFers going to have a night out in Calne (weekend)? JFW is plastic Calne (now), Flashy is here, Vile Velcro too........and a couple of others that I can't remember. I keep seeing the Soccerette lady in town too.

I don't intend on going to Calne, not for a night out, not at a weekend, not ever.

In my experience proper Calne girls are most accommodating, unfortunately there are too many "not from round ere" these days.

Calne used to be all right 15 years ago, but now it's as bad as Chippenscum. Chav's and boy racers destroyed the place. I rarely venture in Town.  :bike:

The one that went to the County Ground on matchdays. Used to pick up outside the LRI. Me and my mates used to use it but there were some 'bigger boys' too.

No. I didn't see my first town game until '89 (3-0 home to Oxford  :) ). Drove to that.

Quite busy out last night.......some of the fancy dress was...........interesting  :holloween:

Saw Beetlejuice in Sainsburys at 6ish...

Also saw one of the Sainsburys staff helpig to take some shopping to an old ladies car....he was dressed as the grim reaper...it made me chuckle!!

There was one guy dressed in what looked like a kind of military uniform with a pig's head mask. Any ideas?

Bit of a tangent here, but the clip below had footage of a drive from London to Bath in 1963.  If anyone has 10 minutes to spare (and can put up with the pompous sounding narrator), it's quite interesting.  The car goes through Marlborough at about 06:10 and Calne at 07:50.

This is classic Ardiles  :) I love the first couple of minutes when the guy he is following on the motorway flicks the V's  ;D

Brilliant....although alot less traffic the driving was dangerous as hell.....overtaking on blind bends etc...enjoyed that.

Quality clip - Calne was easier to dive through then than now...that give way bit by Thomas of Calne is a total fuck up!
