I've just managed a fairly meaty near amputation of a finger tip. Good halfway through on the tip around where my nail ends (my nails are short because I bite them).

1) Pace around the house with your hand in the air.

2) Down a can of cider

3) Tell internet, one handed typing.

4? Go to shop and buy some fags?

5) more cider.

One of those finger cuttung injuries that you can sort of see coming, and then you see the knife slice in and blood poor out in sort of slow motion.

I hope it stops bleeding soon. Must be over 20mins now.

Ouch, get someone to kick you in the bollocks with steel toe caps to solve the pain though.

I think that might just move the pain.

Drink some more cider

Seems to be dulling up now which is nice. Well just started again a bit when I ripped off the sticky mache of kitchen roll and some of finger sort of flapped up a bit, but it's all good.

Now the finger pain adrenaline has worn off I feel like a bit of a drama yak for posting a thread. Oh well.

Punch yourself in the plums.  That'll take your mind off it.

Picture evidence would justify the thread, definitely. Make sure you open the big flap of skin up for us to see

I tried taking a picture, but it was a half arsed effort and the stupid camera kept auto focussing on my hand.

prawn curry was delicious and worth the pain.

I had prawn curry tonight and there was absolutely no pain.

It's fine really TT, I just always feel the need to document my bumps and scratches on the TEF.

Staying up too late, drinking lots of cider, smoking too many cigarettes, going to regret it tomorrow.

When I cut the tip of my finger off I found that supplementing the cider with a singstar session worked pretty well

I'm a fucking disaster zone at the moment. Just fell down the fucking stairs and smacked the back of my head. That's bleeding now too. Difficult to tell how much for a min because I've got too much hair.

I gather you were making a prawn curry when you cut yourself? What were you trying to chop at the time?

Has it taken your mind off the finger pain?

I was deftly cutting up onions, quite easily and quickly when I thought I'd try doing it a slightly different way, and in time to whatever was playing on 6music. Disaster ensued. Then they had to rub it in by playing a horrible accoustic version of that god awful girls fall like dominoes song. I nearly stabbed the radio.


Not really. Finger's ok now as long as I don't bash it against things.

I thought only kids and old people fell down stairs.  Nice work fB.

Also I was completely sober. 

I do go up and down the stairs like a hyperactive child, it's the only exercise I get.
