I hate sunday evenings - can't stop myself thinking of the inevitable monday morning.  Apart from a few cold one which are already chilling,   how do people entertain themselves at the end of the weekend?

sundays are the spawn of the devil, shitty day. today i've been doing work for college, went to wash the car and i've just this moment had a glass of nesquik.

this evening i'll try to finish off season four of ER.

Got some washing I should really do and probably some washing up to go with it. Then there's ironing. Yeah Sunday's suck.

I did some laundry today. Wooop.

Will later have some dinner, watch stuff on the iplayer and try and stay awake for motd2

I wouldn't bother. The Villa game was humpty. Second half of the Everton game isn't bad.

meh, I dont mind sundays but then I dont work mondays.

I played football this morning (not good) and I've watched Birmingham/Villa, Cardiff/Newcastle and Fulham/Everton - will spend the rest of the evening number crunching I think.

Its the neighbours middle sons birthday (20) and there are having a BBQ. Smells lovely....is it wrong to just go round there!!

Ironing is for losers

I've never ironed any of my clothes 8) Hang shirts up whilst they're still damp and most of the creases will be gone

I do this too, works everytime.  Life really is too short to iron.  I don't even own one.

I only iron shirts for work. Don't bother with trousers, t-shirts or anything else.

i take my ironing to my mum if i need anything done, its normaly only work shirts.

went for a roast at the rolleston earlier, started to watch the everton/fullham game but ended up going for a nap, watched the last 20 min and have just drank 3 cups of tea in the last 30 min to try and wake up.

Has anyone seen off the hook? It's like inbetweeners, only 100000 times more cringeworthy

I'm now back in Cardiff. It's been a long day. I also spent far too much on a new sat nav.

I'm off to the pub quiz in about half hour. Undecided what to drink though. Strongbow or real ale?

Watching the duff third X-Men film and trying to keep myself and the nipper awake so that perhaps there is some chance of sleep later on.

I recall bringing the missus and the first born home from PMH, plonking the pram thing in the middle of the room and thinking...fuck me what do I do now? Time speeds up with kids, because it's no longer yours.

Although times slows down with X-Men 3.

Clearly the thing to do is to watch the most tedious films and stuff you can find on the TV, or games like Bolton v Blackburn, during which time seems to run backwards.

In the mid 80's I was reduced to watching Dallas.

Dragon's Den: On Tour.  I'm strangely hooked on all things Dragon's Den.  Its basically the X-Factor for those with functioning brains.

I've been at a friend's baptism this afternoon. Was good to catch up with a whole load of friends I haven't seen for ages.

Now the evening has come, I'm finding entertainment much harder to come by. I'm gonna collect my pizza from Pizza Gogo and watch Shooting Stars while I eat it. Then who knows, I might go wild and get some sleep.

(Large hawaiian pizza, if anybody cares. And no, I couldn't care less if you think pineapple on pizza is wrong, I love it :) )

I just spent a few days in Italy - proper pizza everywhere, and not a pineapple chunk in sight.

i had the most disgusting pizza at a britannia hotel in Manchester and pineapple was present! My arse is still feeling the effects of it!

Of course, you are totally right. Pizza Gogo will never compare to Italian pizza, which is always fantastic, and never contains pineapple. But I still like it :)

This is in no way advocating flatbread fascism but pizza with a cold topping of rocket added after cooking is ace.

Tuna and onion or a Pepperoni or a Diavola are my pizzas of choice.

What are people's views of the new Shooting Stars? I used to love it when I was a stupid student but now I am not sure it works for me. I have chuckled a couple of times, but it just isn't the same for me anymore.

Thoughts? Feedback?

Pineapple belongs on fat juicy gammon steaks and has no place in other cooking whatsoever.

Vic Reeves looked just like my grampy the other day, from the style of his hair to his choice of attire (including glasses). It was weird.

Shooting stars is far from it's sell by date, in an almost surprising way. I thought I'd cringe watching the new series trying to live up to the old ones, but it's stood up pretty well so far. Although I did miss this weeks on Wednesday. I'll catch it at some point.

Well it's getting late and I've had a fair bit to drink, I've got to get up tomorrow so maybe it's time to call it a night? Nah, I can manage one more, but that's it.

Sounds pretty familiar that routine mate.  I've got a presentation to do at 9 tomorrow morning on something called an interactive whiteboard. 

So I've just opened a beer.  Monday will never come, of this I am convinced.

Even if it Monday morning does eventually turn up, and I'm afraid experience shows it might,  then that's for Monday Doore to worry about. Sunday night Doore can stick two fingers up at that cunt and tuck into a few more beers.

I never liked Monday Doore anyway.  He wears a shirt and smart trousers.  Fuck him.  Its all about the t-shirt and boxers combo sported by Sunday Doore.

I just realised it's only 12.30 (thanks to the little time telling thingy in the bottom right hand corner of my screen), I thought it was around 2ish. I don't think I've got to be up until about 8, so I've got a few hours left until I hit desperation point on the classic sequence of events I pointed out above.

I'll be up at 7, takes a while to get to work.  Not as long as it will do when I start my new job though.  Planning on moving to Oswestry but will be working in Telford.  33 miles to get to work everyday day.  Not good.

Yeah, well that's just outside Telford, in Ironbridge funnily enough.  Its one of those horrible new towns like Milton Keynes and Stevenage.  Shropshire is nice though, and I'll get to live with the superior half again.  Living on your own isn't half boring.

True - my superior half has never understood the concept of a lager shelf.  I think I might lose this to greek yoghurt and fruit juice.  Its a great shame.

Well if you're not allowed a shelf then you'll have to just spread the beer about the fridge. A couple of cans nestled in the yoghurt and fruit juice shelf, another three or four snuck between the bacon and the eggs, rest some more across the open half empty jars of stuff. You're nearly stocked up already.

Now all you have to do is invest in an extra telly and a couple of sets of wireless headphones, an extra room for quiet bloke time (maybe you could put your beer fridge in it?), a jar of rohypnol so she takes a timely nap when you want to go to the pub at an inconvenient time, and lots of other things I can't think of right now and you've overcome all the advantages of living alone.

It's been fun Doore, but I'm going to go against all my earlier advice and catch some sleeps. This sympathy for tomorrow Ben is not something that I like. I've become everything I hate. Also I'm a bit tired.

I would hardly call the birthplace of the industrial revolution a "horrible new town like Milton Keynes" !

We came 2nd in the quiz on a tie breaker - what percentage of chinese people living in the UK come from Hong Kong. We were 2% out.

Decided on real ale in the end. A north west fruity ale. Was quite good actually.
