I'm staying over in Brum for the weekend and my hotel is on New Street, so beers at early doors is good with me 8)

It's looking a bit expensive for me to go from London, so I might have to give it a miss. Especially with Brentford and Norwich coming up in October :(

I don't think I'll bother.

One of my favourite away games to just go to and watch the football, as opposed to going and getting cnut'd.

I shall be there.

Snap, although we haven't actually booked the hotel oops!  I'm relying on Fred to get me back by train, seeing as he's one of the only ones I know getting a train back!

Yep, there's even a car park just for away supporters if I remember correctly - where they stick the Barnes coaches

Post by: michael on Monday, September 7, 2009, 18:16:44
I wouldn't like to park at any ground.

I'd spend the game worrying about the ball flying out the stadium and onto/into my car.

Who would be liable for that kind of damage?

Could I keep the ball if it was inside my car?

Bit off topic, but i've just booked a return to Carlisle from Euston for £28 for the game in november if anyone is thinking about going from the london area.

Thanks all. I just had a look at the area around the Bescott and see that Bescott Crescent loops around the stadium and surrounding area, so should be OK for parking i.e. I can drive around in many circles looking for a space  :D

I can't remember the name but if you get there in good time, you can park for free at the pub and walk....

Quicker still if you fly - are there any airports nearby?

The best and quickest way is if you split the ticket at Cheltenham. Swindon to Cheltenham is £7, and you can halve that with a group saver. Cheltenham to Walsall is £18 return (cant get a group saver on that bit, boooo).

Swindon to Walsall is £34.30. So definately worth splitting the ticket.

I split my ticket at Cheltenham and paid £39 for two people. That's going up Friday and coming back on Sunday though.

Silly to buy them in advance, after paying the booking and delievering fees from Walsall, it comes about the same price.
Why didn't they send a bunch to our ticket office.

3 of us driving down from Manchester.

Last time I went we won 2-0 Lukas and Christian Roberts showed them how to play ball.

I also remember singing "You should of gone Christmas shopping!!" which got a mention on BBC's chants of the week!!

Ace match and away day.
