Title: Alan Pardew
Post by: Ralphy on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 03:57:34
Sorry but this bloke is an absolute baffoon. This was taken from the Saint's OS. He is talking about their fans....

''They'll obviously be going away disappointed and I can understand that because we should have come away with something.''

Come away with something?!! We totally fucking outplayed you Alan!!!

Absolute fool.

Only ever done anything with bundles of cash.

They were totally outplayed, but he thought his team selection would still do the job. Fans had to tell him to make a sub.

I wondered what they were doing for a while then I realised they were trying to get a sub on.

They could have nicked a goal or two but it would have been a typical unjust point poaching away performance had they done.

Every newspaper report said exactly the same thing, that we should've won by 3 or 4-0, and that Kelvin Davis kept them in it.

What a numpty !!!

Matt Le Tissier and his big nose must be gutted after being given a footballing lesson by such 'minnows'. :D

He was done by the better side and he knows it. "Could have come away with something"? - the only thing they deserved to come away with was an even worse goal difference than they did

I have always had a lot of time for Alan Pardew, the comments he made is just a manager under pressure, if he doesn't deliver the goods pretty damn soon will be gone. 3,000 Saints fans know they were shit last night. There are 20 times that figure who will read the report last night and this morning and judge the game by the managers comments and tell everyone down the pub, 'we were unlucky not to get at least a point last night'. Typical response from a manager in my opinion.

Pardew is hardly going to admit that they were trash and he got the timing of the subs wrong is he? Come on!!

The new Saints owner was there with the full Southampton Board so Pardew has to go on the offensive to keep his job. As has been said before, the number of people reading Southampton press reports and the news 'down the pub' will far outway the number of Saints supporters their lastnight. I too would have been supprised by any other kind of message from Pardew.

The only Manager I can remember who actually told it like it was is Andy King and look at the c""p he took as a result.

'Should have come away with something' ?....they did...a much more accurate perspective of how much better we are than them !

The great thing about being a manager, is that even if you are sacked then you get your contract paid up in full...get sacked 2 or 3 times quite rapidly from a Prem/CCC side, like a Pardew or Dowie and you're pretty much set up.  After a break of doing a bit of media work, then there's bound to be at least an assistant job or similar, because it's a bit of an old boys network.

So you can be a bit average like Pardew and still do very nicely thank you.

i've often thought how good it would be if you applied the same logic to normal employment, get a job, they sign you to a 3 year contract, muck around get fired and get contract paid up..... nice.

If you're like a Sturrock, then you can buy a house in the places you manage, and build up a nice little investment portfolio.  A good trick is to get to manage the Green Army, then you can have a holiday or retirement place in Devon or Cornwall...a la Warnock.

Bormuff, Soton or Pompey is good for something pleasant on the South Coast a la Redknapp.

Some Managers will be honest and admit they were just outclassed on the night,

Pardew's got a big job on his hands, getting Soton up this year.

Exactly.  With 7% of the season already gone, they have made precisely zero progress in closing the gap between themselves and 23rd place.

There's a difference though, in trying to diplomatically make the best of a shit result, verses talking complete bollocks.

I would imagine those 'down the pub' will know those that went and will get the different (true) version, as will those who read the forums.
