Title: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Saturday, August 8, 2009, 15:56:41 I have just started a Matched betting forum. As I know a few people were interested on here, I thought I would post it.
Link here http://mbdeals.co.uk This will be changing to www.mbdeals.co.uk Just waiting for the servers to update. If you want to earn a bit of money then sign up and read the guides and free bet offers. (BTW the guides are not very good at the moment, just stolen from MSE) I usually use MSE, but i find i missed a few offers because of rubbish posts, so I know use my forum to find all the latest offers from a RSS feed. Cheers to Barry_Scott, he helped me with a few problems. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Sunday, August 9, 2009, 08:35:05 It finally updated, so just need to goto www.mbdeals.co.uk at the moment that rediirects to the old sub domain, sorting this out, when I know how.
If any one knows much about this, then let me know. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Monday, August 10, 2009, 20:50:49 I think I have finally cracked it, this isn't just a shamless bump :)
If anyone wants to sign up, then please do so, ask adivice ect... Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, August 10, 2009, 21:30:09 I can finally get on so something must have worked. Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to get going with this again mind :(

Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to get going with this again mind :( Ah well, nice easy money if you have some time. It was a stupid mistake on my part, but I will learn from it. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, August 10, 2009, 23:45:19 Yeah I made loads of money from it last year. I have 'working capital' issues at the moment though (my fuck cunt of an employer has pillaged a lot of my expected salary).

These offers will be around for quite a while, so no rush! Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Friday, August 14, 2009, 21:40:04 Added the site to google a few days ago, anyone got any experiences how long it can take to show up?
Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, August 14, 2009, 21:41:20 depends what you mean by "added it to google". Could be anything from a week to a few months.
Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Friday, August 14, 2009, 21:46:40 depends what you mean by "added it to google". Could be anything from a week to a few months. If I do a search for mbdeals.co.uk it doesn't come up, I have a few links from here and other forums, but not the actual site. I thought it would be a bit quicker than that, oh well. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, August 14, 2009, 22:12:51 Best way to do it, especially if you have a site with its own rss feeds, is create accounts with google, yahoo and hotmail/msn. Then subscribe to your own rss feeds using these accounts. Also, write a few short articles on matched betting, like tips on something, then, publish these at einearticles.com and have your site listed in author bio and add some sharp anchor text within these articles, after the 100 word point, and link to your site.
If you don't want to write a few 400 word articles, outsource it on forums.digitalpoint.com for a few quid. They quality can suck there though, so you could push a bit more and get them done on elance.com. Also, add an xml site map generator, and ping the Big G using that. Don't manually submit to Google again, because they'll sometimes sandbox you just because they're cunts. Let them find you through links, they trust you more then. Most of the above will get you indexed pretty quickly. Also check your logs, if googlebot is showing then they're having a little fiddle. It'll sometimes take them a couple of weeks to fully index and list. Oh, you could also post on some betting forums and add your site in the signature. Unfortunately this site is nofollow, so googlebot will ignore all outbound links from here. What do you mean ping it using that? Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, August 14, 2009, 22:21:12 If you have an xml site map generator they tell google, automatically, everytime, the site updates. They call it a pinging, as it works a bit like pinging an ip address, because all it's actually dong is notifying an address at Google, that the site has an update.
I'll add a link to your site into the footer of this site for a few weeks. That should get the Google bots on to you. :) Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Friday, August 14, 2009, 23:29:57 If you have an xml site map generator they tell google, automatically, everytime, the site updates. Will try some of the other stuff as well. Pretty damn low on keywords search, but it will come in time. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Bogus Dave on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 10:20:44 Are you dmoz listed?? Not sure if they allow forums, but that is smiled upon by search engines.
And get cracking with meta tags and descriptions and shit. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 11:39:34 Are you dmoz listed?? Done a few meta tags and other stuff. But any more tips are welcombed. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 12:04:14 Yeah Dmoz will help, but i have a feeling getting a forum in there is tough. Plus they ignore many requests anyway!
Now you're getting spidered, the best thing is to get backlinks. Get inbound links to your site with keyword related anchor text for maximum effect. Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 22:48:15 Fucking geeks ::)
Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Sunday, August 16, 2009, 17:05:25 Anyone got any other websites etc to swap links?
Title: Re: Matched Betting Forum Post by: STFC_Manc on Sunday, September 20, 2009, 21:44:53 I am on google now and have tried to get back links, although some forums dont like you doing it oh well.
Cheers for the link at the bottom, that has helped a lot! Not many people using it though. Oh well. |
