Title: New Season butterflies
Post by: Summer of Noughtie Nine on Thursday, July 9, 2009, 06:50:47
Only three more days until we get to see the team including the new lads in the first match - I can't wait!

There is a very strong possibility that a spare flight ticket to Salzburg (Sat 11th - Sat 18th) will be available due to one of the peeps dropping out. These dates will cover STFC's games in Austria. There will be a 'change of name' fee, but this still represents good value versus buying a ticket this close to departure date. Genuine enquiries only please.

You are becoming more than tiresome.

Everyone is interested in STFC, which is why we come on a forum dedicated to them, but not everyone can afford either the time or money to jet off to Austria to watch them in a few friendlies.

You're very fortunate to be able to do this, good for you, and it would be interesting to hear from someone out there as to how the squad is gelling, new players, etc.

The problem is the tone of your posts. You come across as a smug cunt.

One of your "peeps" dropped out? You must be giving him/her hell.

He/she is probably the 'peep' in question.

I have got the time and I can certainly afford it but my rationale in not going is why would I want to pay to spend the week with that cunt ?

To keep on topic with the title of the thread.

I've not seen one of those Tortoiseshell butterflies for years now,yet when i was kid we used to see hundreds of them,I guess it's down to all these fields being built on these days.

I'm going to sound a bit "thisis"  But its going to be pretty pointless playing freindlies with one striker, how will that replicate match conditions?

Title: Re: New Season butterflies
Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, July 9, 2009, 10:24:39
Maybe, just maybe, we'll sign a striker or two before they leave for Austria.

At any rate, I'm sure we must have a couple of trialists at least.

Post by: suttonred on Thursday, July 9, 2009, 10:42:41
Probably right about the trialists, i'd love to see a striker, but think they are being frustrated in that respect, so will be surprised if any on board before then.

What a mother you are !

Your family must be so so proud of you, that's for sure !

Oh and there is something seriously wrong in a near Grandmother spouting the word "peeps" all over the place.

Get a grip ffs !

Overly harsh reaction.

This person is no more Smug than the "i go to all the away games im a better fan than you" or the "ive got a season ticket my view counts more than yours" oh and not forgetting "im an exiled fan and I travell 800 miles for every home game" brigade.

That said, its obviously a wind up.

The most smug fans are those who correct you when you get the score/scorer/attendance wrong when discussing games from 30 years ago.
