Title: Red Dwarf
Post by: Doore on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 23:23:34
Did anyone see the new episodes on Dave over Easter, and are they worth watching?

I'm a massive fan of the first six series, then it went hugely downhill.

Theres mixed opinions of it - some say its great, some say its just OK. I'm torn between the two. Defo worth a watch if you're a big fan

It was good to see them on screen, but the script mostly sucked. Best way I could describe it is imagine Red Dwarf made a comic relief special,..

It would be better without all the breaks. I felt like I was getting into the story when another 5 minute break appeared.

The stupid thing was that it was made for Dave, which has breaks, but it still seemed to have the breaks randomly inserted as it does when Dave puts them in BBC programmes.

Got to agree with most here.  It’s a massive improvement on series 7 and 8, which wasn't difficult although overall Father Time hasn’t been kind.

Certainly on a par with some of the mid-series 4-6 but to be honest those haven't aged that well and don't ever capture the genius claustrophobic interaction of Rimmer and Lister in those first couple of series.

Worth a watch all the same if you’re a fan.
