London may not be the best place to go if you're skint...Hull is quite competitive. Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: STFC4LIFE on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 15:23:16 I said I was skint, I didn't say she was ;)
Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 15:25:34 Not really really cheap but pretty cheap is always the Travelodges, prices start at £19 per room per night, I have booked up for a room at Battersea in July (while I stay up in London for Madstock) and got that at £19 per night, the further in advance the cheaper it gets, starting at £19 anyway.

Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Luci on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 15:33:36 Or, if you're set on going to London, try lastminute.com and book one of their top secret hotels. You're basically guaranteed 4* with most, the only reason they aren't named is because they don't necessary want to associate themselves outright with competitive rateslooking as if they aren't good quality.
You're still looking at about 60 quid night though. Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 16:10:40 b+b at the seaside will cost about £40 a night for the pair of you.
Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Talk Talk on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 19:58:10 The roundabout underneath the M4 at Chiswick is quite good. There's a bloke there who has lived under a pallet and plastic sheet shelter for fucking years. I'm sure you could share his pitch for a fiver. Your girlfriend might not be too keen though. Only because it is a -25 star.
Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 20:03:54 does that bloke still live on the central reservation in wolverhampton?
that will be cheap.that said i think he's dead now Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 20:22:35 Finding a place to kip, when travelling etc or just out on the lash, is an art.
Never much liked station waiting rooms...the decks of boats though are mega ace, bugger cabins. The roll up carry mat, one of the great inventions, I've two of those yellow ones...a little battered now, but still effective. Sticking your tent somewhere can be fun especially if done in the dark...I like woods though, something about them. Title: Re: Cheap Places To Stay - London and Bournemouth Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 17, 2009, 20:31:27 bugger cabins?!?! the mind boggles

Oh, err...lock your stuff away and go to sleep pissed. The accomodation we had in China was straight out of East Germany in 1986, one of the worst, if not the worst, place I've ever stayed. But hey, we worked with pandas so it made up for it. |
