A man who smashed a dog chain across the face of his victim after threatening to knife him also was spared jail ..why,in the judges words because he never found anything to steal after rummaging through his rcksack and repeatedly threatening his victim couldnt find anything...so he pleaded guilty to assault with intent to rob...and was spared jail because his victim didnt have anything!
