Title: Sunday Grub Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:36:35 Come on people, for me it was Grilled Lamb Chops, new pots and a heap of salad with olive oil....followed by 12 malted milk biscuits and a cuppa.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:38:27 Pork curry, a little white wine ( so far ) and a little bit of tiffin.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:41:34 Roast Pork, shoulder I think. Didn't do as much of the cooking as I normally do. Took up my duty as gravy maker though and it was superb yet again. The whole thing was ace.
I'm in a rather enjoyable be a cunt to people sort of mood. Sunday is my drinking day now, hopefully the continuing guzzling of redwine will chill me out a bit. Until then you're all cunts. I think it's because I had an argument with Ally earlier :(. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:41:53 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiffin
Are you a Tiffin Wallah Chalkie? Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:43:25 Awwww, a lovers tiff.
I had pie with some lyonnaise potatoes and green beans to accompany it. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:45:39 Awwww, a lovers tiff. Yeah but he was being a twat. He's written a pretty amusing dawn of the jed thing about Jeremy Beadle and 9/11, although it sort of peters out a bit. Our argument wasn't about that. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:45:48 Tiffin as in the square chocolatty thing - not quite the wikki version.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: leefer on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:48:19 I thaught Tiffin came in a triangle shape usually.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: axs on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:50:06 I've had 7 pints of water and a baguette with one half ham and one half beef in it.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:51:50 Unlike the tiffin you are used to and our socially retarded neighbours up the A420 stadium that will grace non league again next season, mine most certainly has 4 sides.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 19:57:40 I had scampi and chips. Think I've re-entered the comfort zone having my mum cook for me all week!

Someone called for a Tiffin? Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:00:50 I've had 7 pints of water and a baguette with one half ham and one half beef in it. I feel bad that I've had some nice Sunday grub and yours sounds shit. It might have been nice, but certainly not proper sunday fare. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: axs on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:05:47 It was mainly due to not having food in the house and a little over-indulgence yesterday.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Arriba on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:10:25 bacon roll this morning, and an hour or so ago had the works from the curry cottage.walked it off with the mutt
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: yeo on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:22:34 I had Pork Shoulder as well,it only cost a fiver and would have easily fed 4 or 5 normal people. As it was me ,my Brother and the Dog ate it all.I alway make my Dog a Roast Dinner, trouble is he wont eat Dog food for the rest of the week.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: 4D on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:23:26 Chicken breast with sun blushed tomatoes and black olives, new spuds, carrots, cabbage and peas. :chef:
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:25:20 Chicken breast with sun blushed tomatoes and black olives, new spuds, carrots, cabbage and peas. :chef: Are you a gay? Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:28:55 Are you a gay? Anyone who has to have their tomatoes sun blushed must be. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:34:11 Sounds like a well put together mid-week supper, especially if it's a nice evening. Not for a sunday though.
Also the peas sound like a step too far. I like peas, but is it really an essential addition to the cabbage? Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: 4D on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:38:24 Sunblushed tomatoes are yummy. :eatkf:
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 20:42:01 Yep.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Sippo on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 21:11:07 marmalade on toast
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 21:12:19 If I'd known things were bad I'd have invited Sippo and axs round to mine for dinner. My mum likes cooking for people and likes it even more when she thinks I've got friends. Would have been a win win situation.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: 4D on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 21:14:18 If I'd known things were bad I'd have invited Sippo and axs round to mine for dinner. My mum likes cooking for people and likes it even more when she thinks I've got friends. Would have been a win win situation. But less pork shoulder for you. Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 21:16:08 I don't mind sharing if it helps my fellow teffers out.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Danjackson10 on Monday, April 27, 2009, 06:20:00 I had a lovely sirloin steak cooked rare with king edward and sweet potato mash, peas, mushrooms and gravy! bloody lovely!
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Luci on Monday, April 27, 2009, 07:29:03 I went to the Old Boathouse at the Cotswold water park for lunch - lovely pork roast, other half had rib eye steak. In the evening I went to Los Gatos with friends and had a very nice dinner.
I very rarely eat out on a Sunday in general so twice was one hell of a treat! Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, April 27, 2009, 07:51:20 bacon roll this morning, and an hour or so ago had the works from the curry cottage.walked it off with the mutt You married then Arriba ;)Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: LucienSanchez on Monday, April 27, 2009, 07:56:56 I sampled the Dominoes Scrummy while playing FM and watching sports. As tasty as it was, the hangover wasn't shifted as a result.
Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, April 27, 2009, 09:53:20 For the last 14 or so weeks I have Sunday Champagne brunch at the hotel. This involves an all you can eat buffet of various foods from around the world and all the champagne you can manage for 2,000 rupees. There is also a live 'band' well a bloke pressing a demo button on a casio and a fit as Indian bird singing. I did Wise Men Say yesterday and did it justice I thought.
My last one next Sunday - going to be emotional!! Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Fred Elliot on Monday, April 27, 2009, 10:51:42 2,000 rupees. How much is that in real money ? Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, April 27, 2009, 11:27:26 How much is that in real money ? about 25-30 squidders. The champagne isn't proper champers but its enough to get you ratted! Title: Re: Sunday Grub Post by: Fred Elliot on Monday, April 27, 2009, 20:04:39 Aceness
