Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 17:08:03 From the old Adver seems like a story out of nothing really but begs the question is he worth even considering now with Jenkins in the side?

Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: DV on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 17:12:23 Id have him back, he chipped in with 8-10 goals a season and also had a habbit of dribbling the ball put of defence (note: not HOOF!) plus with Heywood going one of him or Jenks could potentially play centre half while the other is at right back
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: FlashGordon on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 17:15:25 I always liked gurns, he was a leader, granted a mouthy leader but when not trying to be beckham with 60 yard passes he was a decent player- better than jenkins. He showed passion - and now Hewlett plus wife have gone, he can show more passion at the club in the right place
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: reeves4england on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 17:30:41 I don't think he is. It is a waste of the limited wages that could be spent on a much needed midfielder.
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 17:31:36 He scored a lot for us but he also made his fair share mistakes leading to goals conceded too.
I don't like the idea of letting him go on a free and having to pay to bring him back. Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: kaufman on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 18:37:54 did this hewlett/gurney bust acually happen or is it just bollocks? if it was true then please tell all! i could do with a laugh
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: Johno on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 19:29:10 no, no, no, no, no! 8)
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: blinkpip on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 20:13:09 I love to see Gurney back. I like his leadership on the pitch. it's good to have a hard man in the team. We have er.. none.
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: DMR on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 21:13:10 No.
Past his best. Lippy. Greedy. Kaufman, yes it's true fella. Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, 22:13:03 Gurney was a liability.
Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: redbird on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 08:07:26 Quote from: "Dave Blackcurrant" Gurney was a liability. Too right - usually had at least one sending off a season and numerous dodgy tackles/yellow cards On the whole he was a good player for us but we need to get some younger players in not someone of his age Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: I 8 Razor on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 10:14:31 Quote from: "Stfc02" I always liked gurns, he was a decent player- better than jenkins. i cannot believe you think gurns is better than jenkins!! cannot stand gurney!! he is an over-rated, mouthy and dirty player swansea dont even want him. since he came in, jenks has given 100 per cent and gets stuck in, talks to the youngsters and communicates well with the backline. From what i saw he was one of the two most consistent performers last season. Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 10:16:30 If he had a brain inside his head instead of a KP dry roasted peanut, he would be a decent player, easily good enough for the Championship.

"It's a mystery to me why the lad has never played in the Premiership" Title: Gurn and bear it? Post by: Piemonte on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 10:27:34 No, No, No. we dont want him back
