I'm sure there is an option to turn it off. I personally love autosave.

Bit shit really because me and my housemate have made a world cup and champions league, but obviously every time we play it it saves so we cant start from the begining, and they take ages to make!

That's what it was for Fifa 08 but I changed it to 09 as i'm assuming it's the same. |
