I drove past a Ford Steet KA with one of those meccano roof spoilers and 17" alloys...in bright Pink last week on the M6 near Brum.....suffice to say I pulled up the side and me and the family placed our fingers in the shape of an "L" to our foreheads in unison......sweet.

Indeed.  The fact that it is blatantly a 1.1 popular plus underneath just adds something to the comedy

I used to have a street KA - It wasnt pink though - I wasnt allowed a pink one

I loved that car - Once after football I came back to find someone had written Super Sammy Parkin across the back plastic window thing and it used to show up every time the car steamed up!

Those in glass houses.....

Not once have I seen someone do the the "L" thing who wasn't a complete gimp. You could be the exception of course.

Modding cars is almost always a shit idea though. It makes me laugh when I see chavs in their 1.1 Vauxhall Nova with a massive, loud exhaust. Or a souped up Rover. A Rover for fucks sake!

Well I certainly dont drive a gimped up...sorry pimped up car! bog standard thanks.....I know what you are saying about the L thing but this lad was a real twat, burberry cap on at an angle, Straight through exhaust system big wheel, he tried to catch me afterwards but he couldnt keep up with me ambling along in my 1.3 diesel Astra!

Calmly understated, that's what I would be getting if I could afford a performance car. Instead I habve boring family man, which I guess I am:)

The thing that gets me regardless of aesthetic butchery is this.  Yes you can spend thousands doing up a corsa. Yeah it will be quick. And handle well. But it's still a corsa. Why not invest all those ££££ into a proper performance machine!

You ran (drove) away from a boy in a pink car?

Some of those are just wrong.

Is it wrong to own an FTO?

I bought one 3 months back, I wasn't planning to but I needed a banger to get me through the next 12 months as the girlfriend keeps nicking my car.

Looked at a load of odds and ends and saw a classified site and this old fella had imported it and loved it like a child ever since.  All original stuff, no mods, 50k on the clock and in mint condition.  £800, wanted rid as he could no longer drive it because of his bad back.

It drives like a dream but the only thing is the fucking great exhaust, which I'm told is standard, makes a racket and not being car savy other than liking it's shiny and rounded shape I was interested what the general perception is of them.

What worries me is people in tracksuits keep admiring it and offering to buy it.
