Title: O' wise TEF... Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, February 23, 2009, 14:50:38 It's the wife's birthday on 30th May and we're planning on a night away somewhere, anytime from Sat 30th May to Sat 6th June.
My original plan was to catch a gig in London and spend a couple of days seeing the sights, doing a bit of shopping etc. but the big gigs in London that week seem to be Britney Spears and Boyzone. I did see Lynrd Skynrd advertised but I don't think the missus would be up for that :D So, I'm after a few ideas of nice things to do, things to see, places to visit and a place to get our head down for one night (whether in London or elsewhere). That's good, but I don't think you'll ever top the stretch of M6/M74 through Cumbria and the Scottish Borders. Probably the most scenic and the most over-engineered road in the UK (although I'm sure leefer will correct me if he thinks I'm wide of the mark). 150+ miles of automotive heaven.
