I work for the centre of excellence. We were told this morning when we asked about Lotto kit for the CoE and staff

I expected similar responses. Im being honest and am only going on what we were told. Be nice to have a more upmarket kit supplier for a change. We werent shown any designs. Just that Adidas are going to be making the kit

I've heard this too from someone at the club, don't really care if you believe me or not! We can all find out in a couple of months if it's true or not. Not like it's huge news anyway.

I doubt this is something the club do their best to keep a secret. It'll be announced sooner or later.

Am I the only one that thinks that we'll just get the Liverpool kit with our badge on instead of theirs? It'll be better than previous designs though.

If it were to be adidas, would it be a kit deal through which the club makes money like our partnership with Lotto, or would it be like Franchise have got with nike and Macc Town have with Adidias where they get the kit from a third party kit supplier?

Personally, I'd like to see us go with Joma and have a proper kit deal.

I think Adidas would take over the running of the club shop so it would see all the current staff made redundant... That might just have been Nike though. It would probably be a third party, and the kit would be one you could order out of a catalogue a la Peterborough, Macclesfield etc...

Strikeforce weren't all that bad. Certainly better than that stupid "dgi" kit that weighed about 6 tonnes

Town had a quality Adidas kit in the 70's. Massive Adidas trefoil and the plain ST badge. Be nice to have the old retro trefoil instead of the three stripe

Its no big deal but personally teh club should go with teh supplier who does it with teh biggest mark up as long as quality isnt interfered with

chester, grimsby, hereford also had nike kits either last year or  year before

I dont care who has done it before. I would like to think it shows we are continuing to progress off the pitch and at last can attrack these people.

The opinion of an insider is that if we go with Nike or Adidas the prices for everything will be around 20% more expensive to purchase for the consumer. If we go with Joma the prices will stay around the same. The shop is being run as a business so they want as much to be sold through them as possible.

If we get Adidas, it'll match my trainers.

I like Adidas sports stuff so if they start making our stuff I would probably buy more. Currently I just get the home and away shirts but would definately start buying more leisurewear.

Not sure I've ever seen that one before...it is rather fine.  Trouble is the black shorts, we had them in the 70's...there was quite a concerted fans campaign to change back to white, because we started to become shit when they were introduced.

A better alternative to a merseyside derby.

I don't like mixing my sportswear brands as it looks naff, so seeing as everything else I own (other than Swindon stuff) is Adidas, I'll be very happy if they go with them. I'd have thought it will result in more sales as well, kids tend to go with the big brands and they don't get much bigger than Adidas.

The kids might well buy into Adidas like yourself - but how many will be put off by a Swindon badge on the kit? ;)

If we had the feb-may 1980 one it would be immense. Keep the originals logo aswell.
