The game won't be on unless the roads improve significantly... Even if it melts today, frost is expected tonight. No way the game will be on IMO. London will be hit bad this afternoon and would be a risk to get the Southend team coach here as well.

If you don't come I'm withdrawing my vote for fan of the season :D

Someone has told me that it's due to rain tomorrow, so that'll soon clear the snow if that happens.

A303, then cut across country past Warminster, through Westbury, Melksham, get on the M4 at Chippenham.

Heard the A303 is bad, and there's problems around Warminster today, so yeah, could be fun!

Really?  They're not saying that on the radio.  Sleet again tomorrow, not expected to get much above freezing, perhap +2 degrees.

and they said rain for yeaterday as well.  If the cold air won't move then it will be snow again.

I can't even get out of my estate, so I'm guessing the rest of Swindon is a mess at the moment as well.

The BBC are forecasting snow, sleet and rain until 6pm and then sub zero temperatures until the morning. Though somewhat bizarrely they are saying its going to be sunny tomorrow, I'll believe that when I see it.

I'd be surprised if it isn't called off by tonight, just the public safety stuff getting to the ground makes it a bad idea.

Just a quickie - I'm up in Nottingham where most of the snow has gone.  I'm hoping to come down for the game as I haven't seen the Town play since December & I'm getting withdrawl symptoms. It seems that the pitch & surrounding areas will be cleared but what are the roads like through Gloucestershire especially the Fosse Way?  Anyone know?

Wont be good..come the long way(in miles)..M42,M5...and up Birdlip Hill if your in a car,be safer and probably quicker.

Cheers for that.  I was thinking that would be the safer & more certain route but motorways are so monotonous.

as I said in another thread when I went up for the Huddersfield game the Fosseway was closed for resurfusing, I'd be surpsied if it was open. Take Leefer's advise.

I admire the clubs efforts in trying to get the match on as postponements must cost a fortune. The roads in and around the town are still going to be icy as fuck though. 4 degrees C is getting near to forming fucking great Ice crystals and temps as low as that will just maintain the snow and Ice we already have.

I hope it's on, but I think the cops and H&S bods will step in and spoil all the fun before the Sarfend players make the trip.

According to the Southend official site, Swindon are saying the police are fine with it going ahead...

The southend players would be in a hotel nearby anyway??
