Title: Official matchday dog walking thread
Post by: spacey on Monday, December 29, 2008, 11:56:42
I don't know how Yeovil and arriba got on..

I was quite pleased with how it went, he's grown in confidence since we discovered that the alsatian across the road is all bark and no bite. There was a slight mix up early doors when he went the wrong side of me and the lead wrapped around my legs, but he didn't let his head drop and was soon into his stride. The first lamp post was dealt with confidently and a border collie passing on the opposite side of the road was told in no uncertain terms to fuck right off, this caused me to grumble "Pack it in, Vinnie" and pull the lead a little bit. The field that we go to has been dug up by the farmer, so stick chasing action was limited, but the path that runs by the side of the golf course was walkable which allowed for much sniffing and countless urinating. There was an incident when I was putting him back on his lead that involved his lead getting tied up with my headphones causing the earpieces to fall out of my ears, which caused mild irritation. The walk back was slow as he doesnt possess the stamina of a few years ago, but he still gave 100% and I can't ask for much more. Next up is a tricky visit to Cirencester park on January 10th. There'll be lots of other dogs there so the potential for fighting is something I'll have to take seriously.

My mrs has been on nights this week, had a total of 12 hours sleep in 3 days and she wonders why I wont take the stupid puppy to the office!
