Title: Christmas Telly Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 22:32:22 'Enders was fucking ace. And the wallace and grommit short was amazing, even if it did feel like they'd rushed it all into half an hour. Nearly had me in tears.
I missed Doctor Who though, so nobody spoil it for me. Seriously, I will ban anybody who thinks it's funny to comment on it, even if it's made up stuff. Just abandoned the Royal Family special. I admit that I wasn't a big fan anyway, but that's fucking terrible. Rated a big zero from me, slightly cringeworthy. Despite that, aren't the BBC amazing? I have to admit to being a big fan. I'd go as far to say as they're our most important and effective diplomat and export. Moaning about your telly liscence? Switch over to fucking ITV or SKY one for half an hour, shite. Unless the latter is running simpsons repeats that is. BBC ONE, BBC TWO, The often overlooked BBC FOUR. All ace. BBC Three even has it's moments. And let's not forget the radio. Radio 4 is generally my audio tipple of choice, but even if I fancy some tunes there's no way I can cope with the fucking adverts that commercial radio throws about. BBC6Music is fucking ace aswell. Happy BBC Christmas. It's the last great British Institution that we can be proud of. And W+G was ace, "I'm in bread too" is probably the best one liner for a while. Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: Rich Pullen on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 22:37:37 I expect folks will disagree. I have little opinion as I've not watched much terrestrial.
Watched the first half hour of the Royle Family and thought it was okay, perhaps trying too hard (the jail converstation, although I smiled). I'm watching the wrestling. Thug life. Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 22:39:39 I watched Doctor Who earlier, more by accident than tuning in to watch it though.
I've really just been playing on Football Manager and started Call of Duty for most of the day. Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: axs on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 23:11:44 I love the bbc, best thing left in Britain.
Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 23:34:33 Strictly Come Dancing makes me cringe to the point of feeling unwell. Even worse is the level of involvement my mum has in it - she calls everyone by their first name like she knows them personally!
Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: yeo on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 23:37:18 I just watched Dr Who on the I Player.
I liked it but im a huge fan. Gavin and Stacey was great also. Title: Re: Christmas Telly Post by: oxford_fan on Thursday, December 25, 2008, 23:39:09 The Royle Family special was bollocks and I used to really like it. Some of the jokes were really stupid, particularly the ones involving the young girl. I watched until the end but was glad when it finished.
I watched the ice skaters with my Nan. Holly Willoughby had the tits on show. They are really quite massive. |
