its shit, over priced commericalised shit, the p;lace has gone down hill in my eyes since they revAMPED THE dungeon, and made it look like some kind of wine bar, its all about the old style vic.

 I like the Vic...sort of place I pop into every so often, and usually see someone I know.

Its true, its poopy and removed a viable decent small venue in swindon, sebaldo is right its like a wine bar. Disappointing.

If they made it the same as the Furnace would you 3 be happy?

I like the place, but the basement has definitely lost a lot of atmosphere since it got revamped.

Disaster! They did it up so there was room in there for more than 3 goths cutting themselves in the corner.

Everybody gets a bit upset when their local goes down, but what's been sorted for the Vic and 12 Bar is fucking ace for Swindon. First Step on an improvement on a music scene. I persnoally don't give a shit if a few emo's lose out on self harming to their favourite shitty goth band.

On a related note, I heard today that wasshisname has been turned down on a live music licence from the council for the old bingo place? Rumour or Truth?

Either Bennett's separated me from the retards or singled me out as being the most special one. I thank him either way!

I've been to the furnace once in the last 2 or 3 months, but it was a good laugh. Benefits were:

- Fuck all queue at the bar
- Vodka is ridiculously cheap
- I like dancing with retards, stupidly.
- Good mix of music, some I like, some I don't.

In contrast I went to liquid last Friday:

- Massive queues at the bar.
- Drinks are expensive.
- Dancing with under-age retards isn't as fun.
- Music is generally shit.

I heared the same about the Bingo Hall Ben, well Rich said the other day that the council weren't playing ball. Seems a bit daft though - what else could they put there, especially in the current economic climate. No doubt the council would prefer it to be knocked down and replaced by some generic architectural nonsense  ::)
