Title: Digital Camera
Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, 12:54:04
As I am off to India and also to South Africa this year, I am going to get myself a digital camera. It doesn't have to be all singing and all dancing, just reasonably compact and sturdy (I am quite clumsy) and be relatively easy to use. Any ideas?

Looking to spend around £100 (or 100 Euro! ;D). I think there is a Tax Free Dixons at Gatwick Airport so will probably buy here although if anyone knows of any bargains?

Just found this on Comet - Looks pretty good, 10.2 megapixels is fairly standard for a Digi camera these days is it not?

Can't go wrong with Panasonic Lumix for a point-and-shoot camera.

This. Very good, although not what you might call cheap.

But in tax-free they are. Although with the VAT cut you actually don't get so much of a discount now.

That 2.5% does work out at quite a discount

No, I mean with the VAT being less, you actually save less in tax-free shops compared to high street prices.
