They don't do it from the Toothill exchange, well they didn't a month or so ago. Shame, they were quite good prices for O2 phone users.

At the moment I have sky. Pay £16pm for tele, broadband and phone.

I'm getting freesat so no need for the tele, phone I pay BT anyway. So I can save my self £8 a month. Might not sound a lot, but over the year that'll pay my tv license aswell.

I don't watch enough telly to even contemplate paying for it. The idea of funding the Premiershit makes me a bit sick too.

I've got it, we pay £7.50 a month for 8meg and haven't had any probs so far.

I've got it, excellent service and UK help! They have direct access to the modem and install it for you and remotely set it up for you.

i'm migrating to o2 from nildram (tiscali).

o2 is basically be, which is the best broadband ISP available atm

I've only got the basic package which is freeview anyway.

Now got to try and get hold of sky!! Fun.

I'm on O2 but the £10/month package. We have three of us in our flat, often using it at the same time, and it works fine

Apparently I can connect it to my current sky dish. Guess I'll soon find out..

Ah, I haven't got a dish so need to get one installed. I'm going for the Freesat+ I think.

Freeview + (if that's what they're calling it now) is really useful. Bought my box a year ago for £80.

It's freesat+ - a freesat box that records / pauses HD TV.

I know that. I meant a HD recorder for normal freeview. Didn't know if they called that something special.

I just checked as I'm sad and have nothing better to do. It is called freeview +.

But it is dead handy. I can't imagine not being able to pause something live, or point the tv guide somewhere and pressing record without having to set up timers.

You can't get HD through an aerial as the bandwidth is too small. Looking forward to having some actual HD T on my HD ready TVs.

Connected my freesat HD box today. Hopefully they'll bring more HD channels out. The ITV one isn't like the bbc hd channel. It only appears now and again, like the footy for example. Def worth it though especially for under £150.

As for the broadband, under £10 for 11meg. Happy days.

Can't get o2 broadband as the haydon wick exchange is not longer in use and they haven't the capability from the blunsdon exchange!

Really? I thought BT were moving more people TO the Haydon Wick exchange FROM the Blunsdon one?

I'm with them, they're reliable and cheap but do throttle P2P and torrent traffic so if you're a big user of those then probably not the best for you.

My tiscali is pretty decent, but then again, i have had no dealings with them on the phone, and i dont download all too much.

Tiscali have very very very very very very very very very (you get the picture now) bad customer service.

They don't answer emails and their call centre is in India. If you ask them anything that's not answered by one of their scripts you just get fobbed off.

As I mentioned in Bennett's thread, they sent me a letter threatening bailiffs for the grand sum of 67p that I owed them.

Do you want the addresses of their directors? I've heard people similar to your situation wrote to them to highlight the company's incompetence and got results.

i don't think the home addresses would set it in such a good light mate, if you've got their work ones that'd be sextacular

Yes you can, there will be a lot of HD channels available on Freeview eventually. They can't broadcast them at the moment as there isn't any spare signal ranges / broadcast frequencies (or whatever they are called). Once the analogue TV signals are turned off and re-allocated (some of them) to Freeview we'll start seeing HD channels.

Much as I hate to say it, Virgin are pretty hard to beat for broadband. I get pretty much the full advertised 10Mb, which you seldom get with other ISPs - the rates they advertise are best case scenario and seldom achieved in the real world. Virgin is pretty cheap as well if you get a phone line from them as well - £26 for phone and 10Mb I think at the moment. Their PVR recorder is pretty good as well - cheap and its a triple tuner.
