Title: Lardy.
Post by: leefer on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 01:33:01
Was in Corby on monday and decided to stop at a roadside snack bar,had been there before so knew it was clean..not like Bacteria Bills in Basildon, the sausages put sauce on themselfs at Bills there so lively!
Anyway was on my break so wasnt in a hurry, which was handy as the guy who usually runs it wasnt there and his mum was standing in..she was very doddery(good word) on her feet and very precise(slow).
As i stood in line with the other fellas who all looked like retired lumberjacks, bent backs and stripey shirts we were woken up by a friggin great arctic pullin up in the layby and a massive great lump of a man falling down his cab steps, his name was Lardy and he looked like Lardy with a small layer of grease on his forehead.
As his train was blocking the road us lumberjacks agreed he could go to the front of the Q.
What can i get you dearie says the old lady
Egg n bacon cob says Lardie already lookin flustered cos his wagon was obstructing the road
Marg on yer cob says the old lady
As it comes grunts Lardie, ime in a hurry
Runny egg says the old lady
Not fussed says Lardie, but i need it quick.
By now me and the other Tree fellers were squirming, just hoping the old lady would serve the fat fuk.
All of a sudden Lardie loses it..Leave it!  Leave it! he bellows i cant wait no more and he scrambles into his cab and drives away.
With this the old lady is nearly in tears and puts Lardys rejected Cob in the bin,10 mins of hard work for nothing, she steadys herself and with a stern voice says to the next guy what can i get you dearie?
With this he answers...ile have a bag o cheese and onion please!
Lucky for me the old dears son came back and served me,or i couldve still been there now.

I was looking forward to a tale of drum-related success, but nonetheless top lorry-blogging leefer. Even if it is starting to take on a worryingly "Wayne Rooney's leisure pursuits" type tinge

Corby

My Nan used to live there. It's possibly the only place in the world that house prices rose merely by virtue of my 1984 Fiat Uno being in Town...
