Title: Vegetarians? Post by: sonicyouth on Friday, May 13, 2005, 19:28:59 Random question out of plain curiosity, anyone on here a veggie? or even vegan? I've never really considered it but I'm running out of justification for eating meat, I'm also being lazy as my parents have said they won't cook a seperate meal for me everyday, leaving me to have to cook for myself all the time and I can't cook. But that's laziness.
I can't stand cruelty to animals, but I can't fucking stand some of the pompous animals right activists who lecture everyone about their beliefs and violently attack other people as a result. When I worked for Cancer Research UK, there was a poster in the backroom about being wary of animal rights activist who had been throwing firebombs into shops. Bit harsh, no? So yeah, anyone a veggie? I bet there's none here 8) Title: Vegetarians? Post by: Reg Smeeton on Friday, May 13, 2005, 19:37:24 That's a bit spooky.....after a mound of sausages for dinner, I was thinking of doing the very same posting......then thought nah we'll just get Sonic going on that meat is murder......BTW this is true.
Title: Vegetarians? Post by: kaufman on Friday, May 13, 2005, 19:39:58 im a veggie!
have been now for about 10 years! dont preach people about it and can completly understand why people love and enjoy meat! just not for me! Title: Vegetarians? Post by: BrightonRed on Friday, May 13, 2005, 19:40:35 I'm not personally a vegetarian but both of my parents are so when I go back home I tend to eat very little meat, however I start to feel 'unhealthy' when I go for long periods of time without meat - I guess this is some reaction to the lack of protein in a normal vegetarian diet.
I don't like cruelty to animals either and try to buy meat from places where there's a chance the animal had a half-decent life. Title: Vegetarians? Title: Vegetarians? Post by: Onion_Jimbo on Friday, May 13, 2005, 20:23:12 I was a veggie about 5 years ago. I cant remember why. It lasted about 6 months. It was annoying going to mcdonalds and having to wait for them to cook my vege burger

You should do what i do sonic and live on pasta which is easy to make, plus there are loads of ready meals.Saying your too lazy to cook is just an excuse .What would the Moz say? He'd hate you and call you a nazi. :) Title: Vegetarians? Title: Vegetarians? Post by: Piemonte on Monday, May 16, 2005, 13:53:09 A meal is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned if it does not contain any meat.

Vegans are just plain wierd. Going veggie is OK, thought there does seem to be a high percentage of the stereotypical pale skinned, weedy variety! Veggies that are veggie for animal cruilty but then eat fish should be flogged. "You don't make friends with salad". Homer J Simpson. "Celery, Celery", The Town End, circa 1988. It's not for me though. Personally I'd go meatatarian if I could. Mmmmm meat. Title: Vegetarians? Post by: Piemonte on Monday, May 16, 2005, 14:09:37 You dont win friends with salad. never has a truer word been said!
Title: Vegetarians? Post by: dogs on Monday, May 16, 2005, 14:38:57 I could never be a veggie. I just loving eating dead animals.
Title: Vegetarians? Post by: kaufman on Monday, May 16, 2005, 14:58:35 poeple who dont eat meat but eat fish are not vegetarian.
they are called Pescetarians ( ive been told) most veggies eat dairy products (eggs, milk etc) and are called lacto-ovo-vegetarians (bit of a mouthful) vegans cut out all dairy products and meat. http://vegetarian.about.com/od/vegetarianvegan101/f/faq_vegtypes.htm Title: Vegetarians? Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, 20:48:28 I give up, I'm going veggie once all the stuff my Mum has cooked is gone otherwise I'm going to be a nuisance.
I wonder if I'll lose weight. |
