I think we decided yesterday that we'd got to Southend Central. It's only 5 minutes from the ground.

but if we get prittlewell for the return we can straight back on the train.

So one single for Swindon to Southend Central and another for Prittlewell to Swindon?

Fucking hell, if we do that then it's £25 for each single!

I think we're going via Liverpool Street as well, go careful 'cos the online systems seem to take you via Fenchurch Street.

Actually, it looks like you can only go to Southend Victoria from Liverpool Street.

I'll wait and see what tickets Fred gets and then just buy the same ones.

Splitting the tickets at Didcot works out cheapest. So return for Swindon > Didcot and then another return for Didcot > Southend Central.

I tried that but a return from Didcot to Southend C was 43.30! Unless I did something wrong. Anyway, cheers for that Sam.

Offpeak day return is £34.10.

I am really not looking forward to this any more and if it was not for the fact that I am going with my mates for a sesh then I dont think I could justify to myself on spending the £100 in all honesty.
