Title: Betfair blackjack
Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, October 9, 2008, 21:07:35
It's rather addictive. I think I've got the hang of it now, I've made a small profit after losing a bit.

Watch me go crazy and lose it all now  ;D

I was £60 on will hill poke last week, £20 down this week. One bad beat after another! Blackjack's more luck isn;t it?

You're not playing it in the traditional sense, you bet on the hands at various points.

The way to make money on betfair is knowing when to bet and then when to lay the opposite so you cover that bet and make a guaranteed profit. At least that's how I'm playing it.

I did some poker playing on the poker x-games on Betfair. I did about £150+ in a night, i forget the exact figure, then i lost some, so cashed out deposit plus about 50% extra, made some more, lost some more, then had £70 left and blew it on some wild bets. I hate gambling and the stress was too much for tight old me, so stopped.

I don't like the x-change poker, I just seem to be bad at it.

There is a system for it (which shouldn't be too hard to find ;) ) although it isn't great. Well it's supposed to be, but i'm far from an ideal test subject because i'm greedy and i HATE losing money. Once i win a bit i'm like a dog with 2 dicks, once i lose a bit, i throw in the towel in a big girly huff and invariably stop.

I'm usually ok, once I get going but I don't normally do casino games because you can sometimes chase losses a bit too hard and fast.

Finished up +£80 for tonight. Killed some time and managed to chill out doing so.

I need to start doing matched betting again, might have to have another crack at it this weekend. I need to pay off the overdraft by end of November ideally.

:D

I was dreaming of buying a new car with my winnings, until i gave up!

Talking of blackjack though, a friend of a friend, used to make an absolute killing doing nothing but playing online blackjack using a system. He used to bank north of £100k per year. Well, so i was told, but no doubt the figure changed as it was passed between people over beers. :)

I'm sure i have some blackjack systems somewhere; i tend to acquire quite a lot of stuff i have almost no interest in for whatever reason.

Has anyone on here played The Roulette machines in betting shops - watched a guy last weekend put in £2,000 and spinning at a minimum of £80 per spin only had one draw in about 24 spins - lost it in about 10 minutes, flipping lethal things.

I agree. I don't like playing against a computer, something about it makes me think it's coded to be fixed.

Although with betfair it's not really a casino, you're betting with odds against other people. I think I prefer the blackjack game because you can work out where odds will potentially increase and decrease and make either good profits or nil losses. Of course there is always a risk you will lose.
