I don't give a flying fuck that he's been out from the english leagues for a while, we could make the CG experience a fun loving one with Jan at the helm.  The bloke who used to finish off every team talk (when playing for E. Frankfurt) with "as the bishop said to the nun", no more boo boys, imagine having the whole of the DRS and Arkells and TE support celebrating every goal with the aeroplane.

Yeah it's a gamble but fuck me we'd have some fun, our very own Ian Holloway style manager, here at the CG.  Fitton should get on the first plane to Oslo if he does decide to replace dear Maurice, from Jan's the man to drag this club into the 21st century - money no object!!!!

Personally I'd try and get someone more experienced. But I do think he would be popular, at least at first.

I don't care about the experience, don't care that the great one probably wouldn't be that interested but it's a dream.  He'd unite the fan base and then some, think it'd create a massive buzz about the place.  I'm sure AF could convince him to come back and get this club back where it belongs (okay Reg not where it belongs but back to a higher level).

I would much rather we took a risk on someone like Jan, the biggest legend of the last 20 years or so, then just go for a managerial merry go round man.

He'd have some good contacts via Lillestrom too, so should be good for getting decent players in.  The man has an infectious personality, would be ace!!!

Another reason to go for him, instead of the players calling him Gaffer, they could call him JAFfer,

Why would the 3rd tier of english football be such a struggle for Jan?  It's only an average standard of football, he be able to handle that surely.  He'd have contact after contact in Scandinavia, he'd get us out of this division in no time at all.  Think positive.

But hasn't Jan been working as a DOF type person at lillestrom for many years with no input into coaching etc so I think he would have been out of the game too long....

I have no probs with Jan being appointed Dir. of footie at all.

I was told by a Norwegian yesterday that Jan no longer works at FC Lillestrom.  Shall I book AF an easyjet ticket to Oslo now or later?
