Yesterday afternoon I was delayed due the incident at Harrow. (I hope the driver of the train is okay, can't be a nice thing)
 
Why did none of the staff at the Watford Junction station have any idea what was going on? Whenever you asked for information, even a best guess as to the when a train may arrive, the stock answer seems to be listen to the accoumnets, this is most unhelpful!
 
I also wonder why you did not ask Virgin trains to stop at Watford they seemed to be running on time and in the time I spent going nowhere at Watford Junction I saw several Virgin trains pass by. When Virgins trains have a problems London Midland trains take up the slack but not the other way round, is this because it would cost London Midland to much money?
 
I have since learnt that the delays were caused due to a lack of drivers. The incident happened at mid afternoon so why was there a lack of drivers? Surely you knew that during the rush hour there would be a need for services so why did you not make pervasions?
 
I look forward to receiving the normal stock reply that will not answer any of my questions and whilst I am waiting for my train home this evening (5:23 from Watford Junction to Milton Keynes), which will no doubt be five minutes late thus causing me to missing my bus at Milton Keynes but off course in the strange world of London Midland being up to 10 minutes late is classed as being on time, I will be seething with anger regard the shambles that was my jounery home on Thursday and the thought that it costs me £2500 a year!!!!!!

nothing but it shouldn't shut a railway for fucking hours! there were no trains from watford from 2o'clock until 6:30 four and half hours of nothing!!!!! fuck me I could fly to rome in that time but our railways can't even manage to get a train to run!!!!!! There are four lines one slow norhtbound, one fast northbound one slow southbound and one fast southbound. The cunt jumped infront of a trrain on the fast northbound train so why the fuck did that mean they have to shut the other three lines?

I remember on the way back from footy years ago (Brentford iirc) some muppett killed himself at Bracknell, that fucked things up nicely.

Ain't it just amazing how we get delayed because someone is that desperate they feel the need to kill themselves (and yes I do think it is a selfish way to do it) and all we are worried about is getting home a bit late.......

Yeah I would love to meet them and thank them for thier dad or whatever beeing a total fuck up and cunting up my evening. Selfish is not the word, I suggest that if you kill yourself by jumping in front of a train then your family should have to pay for all the delays and put in jail that might make people think twice. There are plenty of other ways to kill yourself that don't course anyone else problems. This is about the 6th time some twat has jumped making me delayed, not happy!

I was on a train last Thursday back to Swindon from Paddington.  Some bloke had topped himself near Swansea in the same way and everything was delayed for an hour or so...

When I got on the train I was talking to my mate and made some daft comment about "selfish bastard" etc....

A bloke on the other side of the aisle looked at me and said "get over yourself you selfish twat, someone has fucking well died, all you will be is a bit late"........

I rightly felt a complete and utter wanker !  Very humbling and made me think how lucky we are !!!

They died because they choose to die it wasn't an accident it was a delibrate act. Why should I feel sorry? if anything we should be happy for him as he wanted to die and therefore achived his goal.If a train worker had died or soemthing then that is different and you wouldn't have a peep out of me unless it was bob crow, but a suicide is different.

I try not to judge tramps.  True story - when I was down in St Ettiene (sp) for the 98 World Cup me and the lads had a good laugh each day seeing this pissed up tramp making an arse of himself in the town centre.

Wasn't til a week or so later I heard that that same bloke used to be the head teacher at a local school.  He lost the plot when his wife and kids died in a car crash and just couldn't get over it.  So he hit the bottle big time and that was the end result, living on the streets, with nothing.

In all fairness GFM,people who intend to kill them self are so depressed' the last thing on their mind is thinking about how it effect's other's,most of the time they dont even think about their family,I dont think calling them a cunt is justified,they could have been a decent person that just had to many problems to cope with.

Another point' being close to cab business one way or another,there are usually what you call white paper job's,this means with train delays taxi's are called in from the rail company to get you to a destination,where you can catch another train,failing that they use buses.The rail company lay's this on for free,as the cab's have running contract with them,this applies mainly only to the hackney carriage taxi's not the private hire.

This what swindon does anyway,I would have thought it happens elsewhere too.

Someone very close to me jumped from a bridge onto the M4 a few months ago, and yes i think he was inconsiderate not to think of the people he could have killed in cars. The motorway was closed for a few hours, so a few people were late to work no doubt etc... but that didnt cross his mind once, clearly he had other things on his mind! It just tears me apart thinking that he felt it easier to jump off a bridge than come to any of us.
