So does James own or run a restuarant? I am afraid I know more about his personal life than his professional one... Title: Re: On Now is Post by: michael on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 09:10:22 He's doing a webchat later on. I might ask him.

Title: Re: On Now is Post by: michael on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 09:13:53 The thing that really fucks me off about these programs is when they use ingredients that you can only buy in speciality shops.
Like, for example, banana leaves. Title: Re: On Now is Post by: Luci on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 09:15:16 you'd be suprised what you can find in the supermarket nowadays though!

Title: Re: On Now is Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 14:11:57 I had the same thing i have every morning at about 7am. Weetabix, Coffee and Fags.
Incidently, in my quest for understanding why Americans seem to have so many different ways to serve an egg, i decided to find out what eggs Benedict are. It's a poached egg, served on an English Muffin, with bacon (although traditionally it's supposed to be ham) topped with a nice dollop of hollandaise sauce. It's sounds quite sexy. I wonder if Pumbaa or Sonic can tell us/me more about Americans and their love of eggs or am i just imagining this love of eggs? The Thai's have all sorts of wonderfull eggy concoctions on offer and they whip up some mean omlettes. Something a bit odd happened with this body of mine though and now whenever I eat even a little egg I end up doubled over in pain with stomach cramps. Sometimes I'd kill for an egg mayonnaise sandwich. >:( Title: Re: On Now is Post by: DV on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 14:25:41 the americans do like their eggs. Last time I was out there we went for breakfast to a resturant that purely did eggs....!

Sunny side up, over easy etc etc. I think they just like eggs Bazza, I don't really have any socially groundbreaking insight to this so called fascination tbh. Sorry. Frankly its simple. A fresh poached egg is the way to go. We get our eggs fresh from a local farmer, 75p for half a dozen and they are the best eggs I've ever tasted. Supermarket eggs are utter shit and a rip-off IMO. Title: Re: On Now is Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, September 28, 2008, 08:20:02 Eggs are ace, and I probably eat far too many.
Soft buttery scrambled eggs on a nice english muffin for me. Or maybe a poached egg with mushrooms. Or maybe a fried egg, bacon and fried bread sandwich. get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll. Title: Re: On Now is Post by: dell boy on Sunday, September 28, 2008, 08:29:13 Duck eggs are fantastic, if you haven't tried them yet, then do.
You will never go back to the chicken variety thereafter, such a rich taste and very filling. |
