Title: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: STFC Bart on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:11:39 Gone to Cheltenham on a months loan- Reckon Allen will have them firing up the league in no time
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:12:05 Yep i agree
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: DiV on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:13:28 the same fleetwood who got released by Hereford a few years back.....
we've got better strikers. Cheltenham are going no where. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: herthab on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:13:47 Bart in positive post shock!
Oh wait, it's about another club................. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: STFC Bart on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:14:39 They will be above us within a couple of weeks.
Fleetwood is a decent striker at this level- just shows when you have a decent manager you can attract decent players Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:15:28 oooh you was doing so well
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: herthab on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:16:38 He just can't help himself................
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:16:59 I couldn't believe Fleetwood went to Charlton to be honest. He's no better than L1.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: STFC Bart on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:17:45 Do not see anyone disagreeing though. With some decent signings and Allen joining they will be mid table in no time
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:18:30 I do actuallyagree with that.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Arriba on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:18:53 i agree that with bart about allen turning them around.i'm pretty sure he will do a good job there
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: DiV on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:18:58 They will be above us within a couple of weeks. Fleetwood is a decent striker at this level- just shows when you have a decent manager you can attract decent players the same Stuart Fleetwood who has played a whole 0 games and scored 0 goals at this level. Fucking brilliant, I wish we'd signed him instead of Simon Cox.... Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:19:06 Do not see anyone disagreeing though. With some decent signings and Allen joining they will be mid table in no time I disagree. You cannot polish a turd. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: herthab on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:20:13 They won't achieve anything and will finish below us.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: janaage on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:23:15 So how long will it be before the ego that is Allen falls out with one or two (or more) of his players.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Weasel on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:25:35 The best he can hope to do is keep them up.
I'd rather have Paynter than Fleetwood... Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: DiV on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:25:46 Do not see anyone disagreeing though. With some decent signings and Allen joining they will be mid table in no time I disagree Fleetwood is shit and his reputation is purely built on one purple patch in the conference. Allen has achieved nothing in his managerial career and has been sacked or walked out from every job hes had Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:28:26 Cheltenham WILL get relegated
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:30:15 I'm still betting on them getting beat by Stockport tomorrow.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:30:54 Do not see anyone disagreeing though. With some decent signings and Allen joining they will be mid table in no time Wow mid table??? imagine that - oooh hold on we ARE mid table!! Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Kinky Tom on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:34:17 Am I too gather then Bart you would actually like to see Allen at Swindon? If so the mind boggles more so than usual. He's the last person I'd want as a manager...
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: pauld on Friday, September 26, 2008, 14:45:30 Wow mid table??? imagine that - oooh hold on we ARE mid table!! Well, exactly. Allen will inject enough energy (and fear) to save Cheltenham from the drop this season. And on that basis will be praised (and fair enough). But he'll see that as a springboard for a better job and if something doesn't come up that he can move onto next season, he'll start to get frustrated at his failure to "move the side on a level", the feeling will be mutual, it'll all end in tears. He's a good "kick some arses to keep you up" manager at this level, but not an appointment you make for long term stability and building measured progression which is what we're trying to achieve.Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Arriba on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:21:37 allen did a good job at mkdonalds and brentford in my opinion.also what manager doesn't either have aspirations to move up? gets sacked? or leaves eventually?
you could count on one hand the managers that never leave.and that is only due to being succesfull and not being able to top what they are doing Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:31:48 Martin Allen's & Cheltenham's luck will run out... Allen was supposed to get Franchise up, he failed. He also buckled at Brentford. But he essentially didn't achieve the goals expected of him.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: wokinghamred on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:45:10 the same Stuart Fleetwood who has played a whole 0 games and scored 0 goals at this level. Fucking brilliant, I wish we'd signed him instead of Simon Cox.... I remember him scoring a perfectly good goal against us - or are we not at this level? I'm confused. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:47:05 I remember him scoring a perfectly good goal against us - or are we not at this level? I'm confused. Wasn't that in the FA Cup with a Non-League team though? Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: wokinghamred on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:50:38 Wasn't that in the FA Cup with a Non-League team though? You're right - so that wouldn't count, because it wasn't at this level. It only counts if he makes us look stupid and slow playing for a league club. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:53:49 You're right - so that wouldn't count, because it wasn't at this level. It only counts if he makes us look stupid and slow playing for a league club. We won though :) Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: axs on Friday, September 26, 2008, 15:55:39 has been sacked or walked out from every job hes had is that not true of every manager in the world who has managed more than one team? Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Batch on Friday, September 26, 2008, 18:22:34 Fleetwood - overrated and overhyped.
Allen - I said it all before. I think he'll do well for them but is a grade A cunt who will leave at the next better opportunity (much like all managers). Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, September 26, 2008, 19:51:09 He's put half the squad up for transfer and brought in a few inexperienced players in on loan. Morale must be high amongst the squad.
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: the goat on Friday, September 26, 2008, 21:40:32 The best he can hope to do is keep them up. really?I'd rather have Paynter than Fleetwood... Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, September 26, 2008, 22:09:57 really? No, he meant the exact opposite... Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: broomfield on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 14:38:47 Like you said, Fleetwood will do things for them... In fact he's just scored!
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Rich Pullen on Thursday, October 30, 2008, 20:48:42 The short-term answer to Cheltenham prayers has signed on loan for Brighton after 2 goals in 7. No better scoring ratio than Cox, Paynter or Easton.
He may get more in a slightly better team, we shall see. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: DiV on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 03:03:08 They will be above us within a couple of weeks. Fleetwood is a decent striker at this level- just shows when you have a decent manager you can attract decent players Fleetwood scored once and Cheltenham have lost their last 4 bang on the money as always Bart Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: nevillew on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 10:53:17 I was hoping he'd go to Macclesfield......
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 10:58:41 Fleetwood scored once and Cheltenham have lost their last 4 bang on the money as always Bart Fucking hell DV how bored were you last night? Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: JPC82 on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 11:00:19 DV u need a girlfriend and a job, way too much free time on your hands
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: DiV on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 12:44:33 Least of my worries at the moment.
Really couldnt sleep last night and it shows! Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 13:45:35 I was hoping he'd go to Macclesfield...... I've heard rumours that's his next move.. Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: LucienSanchez on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 15:21:36 he can go his own way
Title: Re: Stuart Fleetwood Post by: Power to people on Saturday, November 8, 2008, 15:24:12 As long as he dosen't team up with Sam Fox
