Brez was always going to leave, shame as i think hes the best keeper we have had in years, its no secret Martinez likes Brez, hes said on more than one occasion what a good keeper he is, like Leefer said Cardiff are in for him and Wolves are also in for him

Where has all this two decent keepers talk come from? I never remember it being a priority before. One good keeper with one averagey backup is always how I remember it. Maybe it's just we've been a bit shit quite a lot of the years I've been paying attention.

Brez had a great spell when he first arrived. After his injury he has never reached that form again.

He's an average League 1 goalkeeper at best, there are better goalies in our division. If we can get some decent cash for him it'll be a good move.

Malpas has made us good up front and shit at the back. Has nothing to do with the Board imo, apart from the fact that the board appointed Malpas. Just because I may be questioning Malpas about recent displays doesn't mean they I'm questioning the Board (or vice versa).

I think the new Board is quality. They're trying to make a proper go of it and have given something back to the fans in the season ticket offer. Don't really question their motives, clearly want to be invloved in league football but don't want to be spending £400m on Newcastle as it is not value for money. Obviously we're not value for money, but they've paid over the odds as they must have seen some potential.

Not really sure there is much reason to be cautious of the Board.

I found loads more on FM and I didn't even cheat and look at forum player suggestions or use FM scout.

Lets not forget the ones who turned us down,the lad from wolves could have been decent,and the man utd winger who went to hartlepool.

So really it may not be the scouts fault,Yinka could still be good yet its still early days.

Smith will be ok after a run of games. Chopping and changing doesn't help things.

I've really rated Smith in a lot of games, just had an unfortunate run recently, I hope he can turn it around and get the confidence back. Needs to start commanding the area better from set pieces though.

Well Brez never started the game today at Exeter and there was no sign of him before the game, unlike Corr who was running round like a lunatic before the game warming up (which seemed a bit odd) before injuring himself.

BTW it was a pretty crap performance from the ressys who got beat 2-0 with Pook playing OK, Ifil and Kanyuka and Casal looked off the pace, but the best player by miles was Marshall who looked a better player when he played wide left in the second half...unusually.

Damn right.........not exactly a good position to be in with the error prone Smith and Mark Scott as our 2 keepers when we are already shipping goals. We would need an instant replacement in January. Who we'd get I don't know, you just have to look at the Premiership to realise there is a shortage of quality keepers even in the top flight at the moment.

Fuck me, even the scouting network takes a bashing now.  Who the fuck on here knows what they have been doing?  Before we got some in, we didn't even have any, we relied entirely on Sturrock knowing players from old clubs.  The chap in charge has a pretty good track record, and only started work just before the season got under way.  It will be a while before we see any fruits from that.

Anyone fancy having a pop at the toilet cleaners?  I'm sure they are shit and must be a) responsible for our home performances, and b) Malpas' fault.

I happen to know that Ken Ryder is one of the busiest scouts out there. The new network will come good, I have no doubts about that at all.

I think you may be right SiPie.  Orient were toothless on saturday.  A lot of pressure in the second half but no chances created.  I know no-one's mentioned it, but Boyd did sod all, glad we weren't even in for him.  Leicester are very beatable, however we need a combative midfield to take the game to them.  If we win the game in the middle of the park, we will beat Leicester.  Need to watch Luke Dyer though...pacey as fuck.

I'd better fucking not be, I've only had one beer (shortly to have another).  So are you now going to me that Lloyd Dyer is in fact a very slow centre midfielder? :)  Anyway the Dyer chap was quick (although not much close control), and will need to be watched.  Their number 5 (Gunchev?) is good with stuff directly at him but could be turned easily.  I'll stop crapping on about Leicester City now.
