Title: cottage help Post by: juddie on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 11:09:55 So me and my mates were looking to go to St Ives at year again. They have a cool street party down there, but we seem to have left it a tad late.
Has anyone else stayed anywhere nice in a cottage for about 8 people they'd recommend? Devon, peak district or anything? Title: Re: cottage help Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 11:11:13 I have not been cottageing for years

Also lovely cottages in Scottish Borders (Howparsley) gorgeous, remote, but prob too far away for you.
Title: Re: cottage help Post by: Reg Smeeton on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 16:06:58 I did a week long party couply thing some years back at this place Foel Ortho...middle of nowhere
http://foelortho.co.uk/Farmhouse.php Looks like its had a makeover...when I went it still looked 15th Century..minstrels gallery that sort of thing. We did a week after XMas into New Year...I guess about 5 couples and assorted hangers on. Stocking up booze was like a military operation 72 pint barrels don't go far amongst that many peeps. The nearest pub, The Railway at Pen-y Bont, was a decent stumble over the fields. Fucking mental...loved it.
