Title: Gaffe of gaffes
Post by: ghanimah on Thursday, September 11, 2008, 21:24:45
I know this is, yawn, US politics, but here’s a prime example of how to make a tit of yourself in public. Joe Biden (Democrat Vice-President) is telling Senator Chuck Graham to stand up, slight problem though Chuck is paraplegic so the standing up part is somewhat of an issue.

Bet Chuck feels better though that everyone else stands up on his behalf

U.S. politics is great, the whole nation gets involved.

Funny thing is that Joe Biden is a play-it-safe move for the demos... I still don't like that Palin lass though.

McCain will win the election - there, I've saved people months of coverage viewing.

Can you see Joe blush as he eats his foot?

I've saved people months of coverage viewing.

Do people really watch US election coverage then? And that was a serious question btw, because i've never watched any and it just seems completely alien (to me), to have any interest whatsoever in something we can't influence and in a Country which voted for bush again last time.

I watch a bit of it, quite interesting to see how it works and the thoughts of the politicians and voters of another country.  I think I'd watch more foreign election coverage if it was covered in depth over here, the french for example would be interesting.  Australian would be great to see as I'd imagine the politicians are a different breed to our aloof a-holes in Westmincers.

I love the US election coverage though I tend to follow it more on the radio. It really is like an enormous Soap Opera.I think the telly show The West Wing sparked my interest in it and the current election race is as dramatic as that show if not more, just need a Vice President to have a Heart Attack now.

Pfft. It's all controlled by The Company anyway.

The dodgy 2000 election highlighted this more than any other but we're not voters anyway so it doesn't matter who controls what to us (to an extent anyway) so we can watch from a-far.

The race to the White House is always interesting following, more for the bickering than the politics.... I'm almost ashamed to say that I'm far more interested in U.S. politics than our own.

War Hero/Woman vs. Black Guy/Old Guy - I hope the majority of the U.S. would see beyond this but many will vote for McCain because he's a war veteran.

It'll be built up as an epic battle.... which the Republicans will win with ease.

Is it just me or is Palin a bit of a MILF when she's done up?
