I thought the Guiness factory was ace!

If you get time and can get a cab, try Johnnie Foxs pub (highest pub in Ireland I think) http://www.jfp.ie/.  Food is really good and have all the traditional Irish stuff etc.  We went on Paddy's day and was a good laugh.

Dublin Castle and Temple bar are worth paying a visit to as well.

Good thing about the guiness factory when I went was there were a lot of chinese people there. They don't like guiness so had their free pints. :)

You'd better check the dates, but the Guiness factory is closing soon!

thats the very reason I ended up having to drink 4 pints in one hour there. except that they were my mates who i went there with, not chinese people.

my advice would be not to let your girlfriend get drunk on Guiness then go shopping in Browns - it will only spell an expensive disaster
