Fred, What have you done? Maybe Fred took the cork out to see if it was still OK, and in a nano-second whilst his gaze was averted a tiny bug jumped in and died of alcohol poisoning and as its body decomposed it started a catalytic reaction which turned the wine into a pungent mess which Fred didn't find out about until, having replaced the cork the first time, he decided to look after your interests again and took the cork out again some time later ... Only joking mate its still at home along with your Birthday presents from Jenna Realising that you would be heartbroken he rushed out and bought another bottle having steamed the label off of the original one and then fixed it on the replacement bottle just like when you look after someone's goldfish while they go on holiday and it dies ... Awesome. ... and they all lived happily ever after. Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Fred Elliot on Thursday, September 4, 2008, 13:21:31 How are the goldfish? Wanda hasn't grown too much? No but she is a greedy fucker.....................sometimes I spoil Dave for a while by taking Wanda out and put her in a saucepan and then feed Dave as much as he wants until he throws up. Oh and I bought them some plants and now they keep playing hide and seek ! Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, September 4, 2008, 13:31:31 No but she is a greedy fucker.....................sometimes I spoil Dave for a while by taking Wanda out and put her in a saucepan and then feed Dave as much as he wants until he throws up. Soon she'll be able to swim in volcanoes and stuff. Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: janaage on Thursday, September 4, 2008, 16:34:17 Back to orignal post, does this mean if you've paid by debit card you're proper screwed? My MRs being the nice gal that she is bought 6 tickets for her and her mates (on debit card) and so has lost £140ish (I think). I take it that's that then? I'd ask my mates if it were me to chip in, but I doubt she will.

Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: wheretherealredsare on Thursday, September 4, 2008, 18:17:18 I read it as only people who paid by cash may lose out. Those who used debit cards ... just call your bank and ask. Explain the situation, as there may be some mechanism for them to give refunds. Normally only applies to cr. cards, but I got a refund once on a dr. card although I think it was because the company involved had not taken the money by the time I told the bank. Effectively, the bank declined the payment asking the merchant to get additional identification from me as they "suspected fraudulent use". Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Friday, September 5, 2008, 09:19:54 Oh God Jan thats terrible - makes my three tickets seem not so bad
Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Power to people on Friday, September 5, 2008, 12:53:41 You'll probably need to register the debt with the reciever and then recieve 1p in the £ if your lucky
Not sure how it works on Debit cards, I assume it is the same as cash though unfortunetly, technically her mates should still pay her for their ticket...... Yup, she may get lucky but it is far from guaranteed Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: michael on Friday, September 5, 2008, 18:15:13 You will definitely, 100%, get your money back with your debit card (as long as it's a Visa one).
You will have to get in touch with whoever your card is with, and supply some kind of paperwork on when the concert was, and also some media coverage of the company going under. See I can be useful. Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Monday, September 8, 2008, 12:15:46 that would be useful if it was a visa debit card! :(

What if it has the Visa sign on your debit card it should be okay, and I agree with the geezer who said her mates should help her out, they were their tickets! Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: michael on Monday, September 8, 2008, 15:53:08 Visa protection is quite significant, but not many people know about it.
I agree too that JamiesFutureWife's mates should help her out. Shall we send the boys round to sort them out? Just give us the word. :boxing: Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Monday, September 8, 2008, 15:56:04 ummmm my mates already paid for there tickets and dont want there money back so really I only lost the money for my own ticket
Its Jan aages wife to be that paid for the lot Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: janaage on Monday, September 8, 2008, 15:58:02 She's not my wife JFW, not yet anyway she's my "w2b" as they call them on my w2b's wedding forums she goes on.
But yeah it's her who's lost out on 6 tickets at the moment. But she has this Visa protection, fingers crossed. Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Monday, September 8, 2008, 16:05:45 I put wife to be!!!

I must have been too excited about arranging my mate's 30th birthday party at Calne Sports Centre! Have they still got the curtain they pull down the centre of the hall so you can have a 5 a side match on and do trampolining at the same time? Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Monday, September 8, 2008, 16:18:02 ha ha ha - Ian emailed me about this earlier - SO funny - everyone had there party at Calne sports centre!
Yes we have still got the curtain that goes down the middle of the hall! and yes you can still do trampolining! and yes Jan Stuart will still be the instructor - somethings will never change! although we are a bit more upmarket now - we dont just have pool parties - we have either Treasure Island or Bumper boats (complete with water guns!) I am actually having a joint treasure Island party for my birthday with on of the other lifeguards as his birthday is a few days after mine! Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: michael on Monday, September 8, 2008, 16:18:56 Getting back on topic, if you have a Visa Debit Card then you are fine. Get in touch with your card issuer.
Do it now. Title: Re: FAO JFW Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Monday, September 8, 2008, 16:21:57 I dont have a Visa debit card!
