Title: Remedies for being pissed off
Post by: Barry Scott on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 14:27:25
I see this post as a remedy. It serves no purpose beyond me needing to sound-off and making me more aware of the next 2 days and what i have to do.

I'm giving a best man speech on Friday.

I have to be at the wedding location Thursday.

I have to pick up 3 suits from the outlet village tomorrow.

I'm in Essex until late tonight and driving home at around 22:00.

While in Essex i went around a corner and found a pot hole in the dark with my nearside front.

My Front tyre is fucked and my wheel looks pretty bad.

My wheels can't be removed as my locking nuts are seized, therefore have to wait until i get to Swindon to get my tyres sorted, which will take some time.

I now need a new tyre. Probably a new wheel.

I can't drive above 50-60 miles an hour as the steering wheel shakes pretty bad. So will not be home until gone midnight.

I've had about 17 hours sleep in 4 nights and worked 14 hours a day.

I need to be at the car dealership by 9am to get new wheel nuts.

I have to go to the wedding on Thursday, first thing.

I have to buy a wedding present and card.

I have to do around 3 hours work tomorrow for a friend.

I have to see my parents tomorrow prior to going to the wedding.

I have to see another friend for a few hours, who is preparing a special gift for the groom.

I have to meet a friend to give him the suits to take to the wedding.

To summerise, i have little time and lots to do. The car is a big problem, as that won't simply be in and out on a day i need it most and in all probability will be driving like a granny to the wedding. 3 hours at normal speeds...

I also haven't completely finished the speech, well, I haven't practiced the parts that i have decided are definate anyway.

Sulking.   :soapy tit wank:

I don't do sulking. I'm pissed off about my wheel, which has caused all the problems, but such is life. I never for even a second had any intention of not getting on with it. You're shit at fishing DRS.

I'm just realising that leaving shit until the last minute isn't always that best course of action. If something goes wrong, everything's a little bit fucked. In many ways the whole thing is quite amusing in a strange way, after all, it's all self-inflicted.

I see this post as a remedy.

 Has it worked?

Having loads of stuff to do is crap and should be best avoided...if having avoided it something comes back, it may mean you need to do something about it.

Moonpig is a great idea, although i won't get it until Thursday now, so probably cutting it a bit fine. Borders it is then. Thanks for the offer though, i'm sure i'll actually send my sister and give the couple cash. It's much easier! :)

I am crap at doing anything. However I seem to be lucky as things just fall into place so my advice is just to sit back do one thing at a time and see what happens.

Thanks for the offer, but mine's nearly done. It only needs a few of the rough edges polishing off and a little aural lubricant to make it slide gracefully through the crowd without offence or injury.

Did you write a speech in the end Fred?

I think it's a best man's duty to do everything last minute. Somehow it'll all work out Bazza.
